the green scream is based on Christophs 808 reissue - how big can the differences be?
do you have a Maxon?pm me.

I have an OD808 and the differences are substantial. The OD808 has more bass, a smoother midrange/top end, and generally feels more 'open' and 'big' compared to the Green Scream.

I will try to make a maxon model.
Separate to the screamer. -

Separate to the screamer. Thanks Christoph, people asking for it are adding up almost daily.

I vote for a Fulltone OCD before a Maxon808.
-
I agree with the OCD, a very popular pedal for firing tube amps up, may be another more subtle working overdrive pedal for lowest possible overdives would be nice. Check out MI Audio Blues Pro, that´s a great sounding overdrive maschine, starting very low and subtle, with big overdrive and volume reserves left. - Just an idea about overdrive pedal section.
-
I vote both! But the Maxon would be on top for me.

+1 for the Maxon. Cristoph, please test it in front of a bass heavy high gain amp like a Mesa Rectifier. The maxon is widely used in this combination. Drive to zero, just using the volume control. Thx a lot

excellent, i also think the maxon beats the tube screamer, and an ocd would also rock. timmy is subtler but might be worth looking at...
not that this is a new idea, but i like all these right at the input to the amp, goosing the first stage a little. it's definitely a different sound than having just a boost there, or having the dirt followed by another effect...
otoh, maybe some of these can be included when the amp is profiled, i haven't made my own yet...

This is definitely one of the most common uses, but I'd advise putting the gain at 9:00 and volume at 12:00; sounds less artificial and more like the real amp just goosed a bit rather than a distinct boost. Having the volume up too high changes the pick attack drastically.

Separate to the screamer.Thanx that would be great..thx
And is there maybe also an option to to put a mix knob in the screamers?

+1A model of the Maxon stomp (especially with the settings described by Jeff) would be highly appreciated!

And another +1 for the Maxon and the classic 9/12/12 o'clock setting.
For super attacky thrashy tones drive at zero, tone at max and level at max. But if they manage to completely model the Maxon I'd be happy and impressed. -
I cant wait....
Now i need always the profiles that are profiled with the maxon 808 infront..
Then we can profile even without the maxon great.............

For what it's worth I'm finding a huge difference between running the physical pedal into the Kemper with a profile of a non-boosted amp compared to plugging straight into the KPA with a profile of an amp that had an OD808 in front. Here's a comparison I did yesterday while profiling a 5150:

there is a note somewhere, i think in the manual, that says it's not possible to accurately profile the tube screamer. the maxon is different, but still a tube screamer type circuit.
totally agree that NoBoostInProfile.mp3 is much better, tho no doubt some will prefer the sizzle of the other, it's at least clear how different they are.

Much more alive and dynamic, responds to palm mutes in a bigger way.

oops, hehe, well "some" means you as well then. i assumed you meant you preferred the pedal in front of kemper. i haven't tried this yet, but it makes sense that dynamics might be wider without the 808 compression affecting the input. better is subjective but different seems obvious anywayz...

Also the Maxon SD9...
