Took me 3 tries and a reset of the machine to get the update to work (from 1.5.2-850rigs). But after the reset it worked, and i have a nice clean kpa again.
I have to say, wow, this update is awesome. Finally i can lock the s/pdif output with the rest of my outputs!
My high gain tones sound allot better.
Now i'm gone go play a bit more! Thanks for the update Kemper guys! I really thought we where gone have to wait until NAMM!
I hope this means something even better is coming to NAMM. -
can you explain
THANKS
Have you got a Lead Sound going ?
Well try the "EQ Cut the Mix* preset (post EQ)
it makes what it says !
No need to pump up volumes
More effective than a booster imho !

Upgrade done with 800 Rigs and 500 Stack presets on it without any problem
Great Release in my opinion, ducking, new Phaser/Flanger, better Green Scream and so on, thank you Mr Kemper and to your Guys for this

Updating didn't go from the first time but I had seen this comment:
Updated the KPA to 1.5.4 = workie. Immediately updated KPA to 1.6 = workie
I would recommend moving to 1.5.4 if you haven't already, before trying the 1.6
Updated to 1.5.4 first and then updated to 1.6 ... went flawless!
Thx a lot Kemper Team
Now to administer some more rock

... as ever. This update is really blowing me away. The ducking effect is awesome, the Univibe sounds great and the new profiles are fantastic and show off the possibilities of the improvements really well. Thx once again to Mr. Kemper and his team for providing us with such awesome sounds. I enjoy playing with the Kemper every time I'm switching it "On": this is my Tool of sound and pleasure!!!!!

OK, this is the fourth time I've tried to post here without success today.
The upgrade to 1.6 went smoothly...more than I can say for the quirks of the website.

I'm sorry but I have not found the "EQ preset * Cut the Mix

Push the EQ knob then turn the browse button, you will see the list. -
Push the EQ knob then turn the browse button, you will see the list.j 'ai pas ! j'ai des rasmus ,mars ,fan ,voice ,steave ,mais pas cut the mix
-
Not the eq stomp, the stack eq.
-
Je me suis peut être trompé...mais il y a bien un cut the mix quelque part.
Il y a plusieurs pages, tu les as toutes parcourues? -
Press and hold X, turn Browse knob 'till EQ Cut The Mix. Is a Studio Equalizer preset, not a tonestack preset.
-
how many profiles do you have?
I have around 800 rigs ... I think ... I could trim it down a bit, but people seem to be having success with more. I might try a few more times.

No need to trim down....could be the usb stick, try another one, try also downloading the update again (could be a corrupted download)

I will try the download again and I might try another stick - though this is the one I've always dedicated for use with the Kemper for several months now.Pretty weird as all other updates have gone perfectly and I've been all "Hey you guys who can't get it to work are doing it wrong - IT'S SO EASY!!"
-
Completely agree, fantastic preset!
great, glad you guys like it.
I picked that one up a few (ok, quite a few) years ago in a mixing session. The engineer worked his magic on a guitar track that really brought it to life, luckily I was taking notes on what he did and with those and the original and processed guitar tracks, I could recreate the effect with the Profiler's EQ.
In retrospect, it's quite simple really - but then, most great sounding 'tricks' are.
