Do anybody know why is there that latency switch in FW 1.6, who wants latency?
Or do it maybe solve something else
(as adding buffering in a software compensates lack of memory and processor load)?

Setting the latency at a fix rate (instead of dynamic) avoids phasing problem by reamping multi-tracks (and in this case latency is not an issue)
You should not bother with that knob unless you're planning to do a multiple reamping project - in that case (and I guess it's the only case in which it makes sense) that knob is helpful.
Ok, thanx guys for making it clear...for the huge discussion about FW 1.6 soundchanging I think I just play with my 1.52 a while anyway..
It has been solved in the meantime.
