I've seen input on the left, headphone on right... and headphone on left and input on the right...is this part of a hardware change, version change..etc?

I think some early kemper video with the switched headphone/input taped over was long before the kemper was released. Before they decided which position was best.

I saw this video and they did it because power cord input is on the left (at the back) so they moved guitar input form left to the right to avoid any interferences possible.

I promise you that if you put strings on your headphones you'll hear no sound if you stick your ear on the guitar output jack..you can try but you've been warned
