Almost 38 and this week father of my 3rd child
Congrats!
I will be 41 in July. I've been playing on-again and off-again since I was 18. I have been working my ass off to pay for all the new toys in my studio(GAS is a Bitch!) Once, I get it paid off; it's no overtime, no working a second job on Ebay, just playing guitar and lifting weights. I'm almost there! A matter of weeks! I can dedicate all of my time to music and health!
Up next: Kemper rack and another Custom Shop
(Damn, I'm a gear whore!)
proud 16!
49!
at 14 years old first live in a rock band as a guitarist,
from 19 until yesterday, jazz saxophone player,
from 22 until yesterday, MC and sax performing in dance floor situation,
from 25 until yesterday, Comp + arrang + sound-eng + tech + maid & coffee-pizza service, in recording studio,
from 29 until yesterday composer of contemporary classical music,

Thank you guys !!! Few sleeping a few guitar playing scheduled in the next days
I would have been -25 in the year Marty McFly played Johnny B Good...
52. Started playing guitar in 1968. Wish I had made more of a point of insisting my parents bought me a 1959 les paul at the time (or several!).
29 started at 18

CONGRATULATIONS
56 - started playing guitar with 12 and ceased regular playing when 18 or 19 years old because lack of time. About 88 til 92 I took lessons and played alto saxophone. Turned back to the guitar in beginning 2004. Since end of that year till now playing in a band. About 5 years ago I started singing again like backing vocals, which was much much harder to manage for me than anything else!
Turned 40 some three weeks ago. Best presents: new Strat and a Kemper Who needs more?
I'm 55 but must confess that age doesn't bother me yet...
much
and now that I see on my left side that I am still a beginner...
I am feeling even better !
36. I started playing when I was 40.
Kemper users group it,s a kind of old mans club, with a few of precocious youths?
Anyway, it,s the best forum with the kindest members...
The day I was born the #1 song was "Because Of You - by Tony Bennett".
18 years later I was at Madison Sq. Garden being enlightened by Jimi
Let's see-- That makes me ##
Well, you can do the math
That makes 58

That's the same song that was #1 when I was born, and Hendrix played Madison Sq Garden in 1969, when I was 18 (or almost, anyway). Was "Because of You" number 1 for several years?

I saw Hendrix around that same time in Tampa, FL at the Curtis Hixon Hall (that no longer exists). He got pissed at people taking pics from the audience, flipped us all the finger, then left the stage early. Nice guy. There was no excuse for that, and my opinion changed of him forever ...
Jimi was at the Madison in 1970 as well.
