It would be courteous to leave the amp and cab profilers names intact, or at the least give them credit there - There are small comments fields that can be used to include more info.
-
Yes i agree, i think as long as the originators names are left in place for the amp/cab then all is cool.
-
i have no intention or renaming the Author name of the rig that would be rude. Im just checking to see if its ok to upload modified rigs with a diffrent rig name
-
Besides giving them credit, those fields are indexed for searching, so people need meaningful info there.
There are also small comments fields that can be used to include more info.

I think its ok Chris, but maybe someone "in charge"would like to comment.

Search for "Golub" on the rig exchange - you'll see it is no problem to post tweaked rigs
-
Ok Cheers for the info guys Just wanna upload a Vai rig
-
Perhaps the next version of Rig Exchange will include larger fields for comments - that would help describe tweaked rigs with cabinet swaps, new effect settings, or copied in.

As long as it started out as a free profile, go for it!
Has anyone ever named an aggressive Steve Vai rig "VaiAgro"?
