Soundside Profiles (VH4/MarkV/Roadster/Recto/Dark Terror)

Hi guys,

Just got my Kemper today, an I have to say I'm floored! Before I had a Pod Hd500, playing the first few chords on the Kemper and I'm still dragging my jaw across the floor! I downloaded some free profiles from Rig Exchange (Morgan AC20, R.U.Sirius's Diezels and a few others. Now, these are great but I'd really love to get an amazing VH4 profile, as I love Killswitch's tone on their last self titled album. An the rest of the amps are personal favourites, so what are peoples views on these rigs?

Hi Alex and welcome to Kemper community!!!
I think KSE used a Laney Ironheart for the last album, you can find a very good profile in Keith Merrow's pack, and as for any metal sound, try it with Tills Mesa cabs!!!
I own the whole Soundside bundle and I'm very happy with it, Armin always make a good job profiling every nuance of an amp, you can find a lot of good different metal sounds, very raw, you can tweak and post process as you like!!!

Bundle IV is great, today I went through the Roadster and Diezel VH4-profiles, excellent sounds from clean via crunch to hi-gain.

Here is some music from me using Armin's profiles:

- Marshall JVM410H (from Bundle I)

KSE Sound: There is a youtube video, where Adam uses a Soldano hot rod for killswitch and as i lay dying recordings.
And of course the maxon 808 overdrive.

Can't say much about the soundside bundle except for the fact that this is very high on my wish list. I used to have a VH4 and only heard good things about Armins (VH4) profiles.

Regarding the KSE Tone: In an interview with Adam I saw, he said the rhythm sound on the new record is mainly the combination of the Laney Ironheart and a Fuchs (don't remember the exact model).
Don't know if they ever used a VH4 but the used Mesa Roadsters on previous records. Nevertheless the VH4 is imo one the best amps out there
