Does anyone know if it is possible to mute the Kemper with a foot switch or is the only option manually changing the chicken-head knob on the front of the unit?
Thanks

If you have a midi foot controller you can program it to select tuner which will mute the kemper if you have tuner mute
mode on. This is what i do.
Yes this works fine unless you touch the tuner calibration knob
Maybe you can put your kpa to performance mode with midi in the future.........
Or, you could switch to a rig that is programmed to have zero output.
Please tell us more about what kind of mute you are asking about. Are you having noise issues?
Put a loop in the X or Mod spots with nothing connected to it. Turning it on will mute the signal since send and return aren't connected.
Set the volume pedal to last in the signal chain and then tilt the pedal to heel.

OK, this is just brilliant! [Blocked Image: http://www.whirlweb.com/guinness2/guinnessguy1.jpg]
I prefer my pedal tuner (a Strobostomp 2) to the tuner on the Kemper. It's the only pedal I kept. I was thinking of using the Kemper tuner, but for live use, I couldn't justify using one of the buttons for a tuner instead of the functions they're performing (B, C, D, X, Mod, Delay, Reverb, Tap... which one would you have axed?). That and the Strobostomp is just super nice to use, very accurate, totally visible onstage, has an onboard DI... And it mutes the rig, no fuss, no muss.
