Ok this is done and up. Demos are just to give an idea, simple and raw played by house engineers rather than Satriani or Vai I'm afraid.
I will do some more as we have a couple more Selmers in the amp locker but I will give priority to more quirky bass amp setups.
Hopefully I'll find some studio down time to do the contemporary guitar amps towards the end of the year.... trying to do amps that are not around yet or just with different cabs and mics.
Regarding the microphones they do make a difference but bear in mind that player style and guitar/pickup combinations make a bigger difference. -
Thanks a lot! Can you tell me where I can find the profiles on the RE? And your future plans sound fantastic!

Great! Where can se find selmer bass profiles?

I don't get why we need more bass amps.
As long as the bass amps do not distort - the existing bass amp profiles and one or two KPA EQ blocks should do the trick. -
Could the same be said for guitar amps? Also, who said anything about not wanting bass amps that are distorted? Every single one of my favorite recorded bass sounds have at least a little "hair" on them. I think you are selling bass amps short.

Hi!
If anyone has interest to get some Bass Amp profiles - I´m going to make some profiles with some Bass Amps! Me and two friends (both professional, studied sound engineers, in german called Tonmeister) are going to make some new profiles. Our upcoming profiles will be:
Marshall VBA 400 all tube bass amp + its 4x12 Bass Cabinet,
Glockenklang Soul II + Glockenklang 4x10 Cabinet,
Some Ampeg Amps + 6x10 cabinet,
also:
Reussenzehn Bass preamp,
Ashdown 1x12 Combo - prototype with celestion speaker. very rare one!
Ashdown 4x10 Cabinet
Hartke Amps + 4x12 Cabinet
Yamaha, GK, and some other Amps...Please be patient, we´re very, very busy at the moment, and we´ll need some weeks to have some leisure time for profiling.

Thanks so much for this!!!
I'll try to wait patiently.

http://www.ampsound.eu/page9/index.html
At the bottom of the page. I will probably add a couple of "contemporary" and a couple of "vintage" time permitting ........
Although I fully agree bass sounds being a matter of taste and relevance for a given production and consequent mix placement, I have nevertheless added some "dist" rigs (amp on eleven, Spinal Tap style ) in the bass amp profiles. Some will like them some will just plain hate them .... but hey, they are there if you need them.... -

-
I'd like some cool di type tones, like that Avalon u5 ( i think) and the UA 6176
I did some of my Great River ME-1NV, link in signature.

I have just added a couple more "classic" rigs to the party. A lovely Brimar loaded 1970 Silver Faced Selmer T&B 100 and an early Simms-Watts MKI also from 1970. Profiled with original white Senn 421, AKG D112, Neumann KM86, Royer 101 and Beyer 834.
Mostly clean with some drive/crunch thrown in as well as some "analogue tape" profiles (Studer A80). -
Bass amp pack available. Seven amps, 116 profiles, a mixture of old and new but not too new
Mostly clean, some "drive" profiles on most but not all of the amps. Some "through analogue tape" profiles. -

Sounds great Icem4n! I'm really look forward to it. Will you tailor these Bass profiles for metal music? I've been looking for good solid bass profiles for Metal, There are already some that covers rock, we need some great metal bass profiles. Maybe also include a distorted profile ala Cliff Burton? Regardless I know you will do a killer job on them and I cant wait!
Thanks!
