performance mode bug? mute - perform to browser

  • Hi!

This weekend I encountered a bug:
I programmed my midi-controller to switch between the slots in performance mode.
I also programmed one switch for muting and unmuting.

    So far everything working fine.
Except for one thing, witch may be a bug:
When I press the switch to mute the Kemper and then press a switch for selecting a slot, the Kemper unmutes and goes into browser mode and loads the profile last used.
Instead of unmuting and loading the slot corresponding to the pressed switch in performance mode

To go back to performance mode, I have to turn the knob on the Kemper to browser mode and then back to performance mode

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

  • It might be help full to say what midi controller you are using

and how you setup the muted slot....was it a rig set to 0 volume? what rig? is it the same as the rig in the other slots?

    Might be help full.

some one else had this problem too...

  • I use a g-lab gsc 3

No rigs with volume 0 as far as I know.
It works as expected when I unmute and than select a slot
Only when switching the slots without unmuting first the mode changes to browse mode

  • Btw: i navigate using control changes (if I remember right cc48 and 49 for selecting performances and cc50 to 54 for selecting the slots)
I mute with a control change (is it 29? I'm not in front of my rig right now)

  • I think whats happening is maybe your using

#31 Tuner Select (signal muted, if flag is set in TUNER Mode)

and this takes you out of Performance mode.

This is a guess on my part and may be a Bug.
