One thing though...unless he wants the Pure Booster to add another switchable stage of gain in addition to the treble booster, he could achieve excactly the same by just raising the gain on the amp by the same amount of dB's. And save a slot

May it be allowed to say "F , what a great tone! It's all there! All you need is to find the right stomp in the right order. Man, it's so easy!
I want a workshop, a seminar, an after work class, an extended clinic, man, gimme the details!
But then, maybe I just should turn more knobs, punch more buttons instead of playing the same old rigs and watch the LED halo go from left to right and back
Maybe I should become a bit more brave and dive into the upper knobs and button section of the toaster... -

Paul , I agree I think that is the reason behind the video's. I just wish he would explain why he puts things in the order ,he put's them in. It would add a little more to the context of how he's building the sounds.

Here are a couple of thoughts on FX settings and placement, and EQ approach:
The Gate is the last thing before the amp, so it can stop any noise created by boosting with two boosts and the graphic EQ boost.
Turning up the Amp gain, instead of using an "all the time" Boost, would be after the Gate - it would add gain to any noise that makes it through the Gate.
The Modulation in the Delay is to suggest the wow and flutter heard from an endless tape loop that constantly rubs up against itself, and the Bandwidth and Center Frequency settings are to make it sound more "tapey". *IF* there was a Stomp Delay, he would have used it instead, instead of the currently available delay, because an Echoplex is placed before the amp, and sounds different than delay after a cabinet.
Choosing a different cabinet could have made for fewer EQ changes, but the time it would take to listen to all the available cabinets to listen to, EQ was much quicker for him, since he is familiar with these kind of EQ tricks. Also, that Cactus cabinet is a good sounding cabinet - if you haven't tried it with other Fender-ish amps, give it a listen.
BTW: Using low shift on the cabinet typically has a side effect of leaving a hole in the mids, so he added mids before the amp with Graphic EQ
That HUGE 15db boost at 200hz had to be done after the amp - if he had done it before the amp, it would have been amplified the low end into a floppy mess
One other thing he did with EQ has been mentioned on the forum before, as a way to alter the harmonics in an amp's distortion:
He boosted 2500hz by 2.1 db with the Graphic EQ before the amp, to increase harmonics generated by the amp by that frequency.
Then, he cut 2214.5hz by 2.3 db, with Q=.707 with the Studio EQ, after the amp. That cuts much of the boost before the amp (with a slightly lower center frequency, and slightly deeper cut), but, the harmonics generated by the boost would still be present.

That would be in the analog world The stomps in the Kemper is no source for noise (unless they added noise generation to them for realism...). The only thing that matters is the dynamic response and frequency content entering the gate, which will alter how the gate is triggered.

I disagree. Stomps in the KPA will inevitably introduce some noise, mainly of course compressor and distortion.

No, they will not generate noise in the Kemper, as they would in the analog world. They will amplify the noise they receieve.If no noise enters such a stomp, no noise exits

Yes, you're right. I didn't mean they generate noise though but amplify any noise that exists pre amp.
Amplify is better as a term than introduce or generate.
