Hi! I've connected kemper to mixer console via xlr cables and input sound was very loud (main out set to -12db). Also i found the sound little brighter. when i changed connection to Ts cables level of input was softer and the sound darker. is there any difference between this outputs?

Borrow his guitar.

You may be able to be in the studio without a guitar but who want's to?
Some times I go to my friend’s studio just to hang out?

In theory, the DI signal should be no different than you playing the signal live. I mean, I can't tell I am not playing when reamping a DI signal except that the guitar is not in my hand. However, unless you are making 5 or more profiles each time then I don't see a reason not to just play the guitar. Plus, playing even not-for-fun is still fun.
I think the difficult part is isolating the amp in another room, and then running back and forth from the amp to the studio to adjust the mic without having; two people, two walkie-talkies, and some superior ear plugs for the mic-adjustment person.
I’m thinking about using DI because I can be in studio without my guitar. And there can be some amps, that I want to profile? so I can just plug kemper and use DI of my guitar to make profile

I do that from time to time. You set things up the same way you ReAmp. As the signal is playing through the amp, you adjust the amp, etc., as you like it. I use another track that goes through all the different types of playing for refining the profile. Works as you would expect.
Thanks, I’ll try it. Maybe need to record some tracks for refining.

Does anyone tried to make a profile using recorded DI signal of the guitar?

I have the same problem with OP. The pick attack doesn't sound natural when I use Kemper's transpose function with heavy distortion. It's like it doesn't fully capture the initial attack. It's noticeable even in -1 or -2.
I wonder if dedicated down tune pedal (like the Digitech Drop) work better or do they have the same issue?
I’ve heard that Digitech Drop have same issue

So pretty much I should just stick with the 4:1 and not even mess with the default input sections gate? I'll have to give those tricks a try!
I use both input and 4:1 pedal. My Input is locked and i use a small amount of gate to reduce hum. 4:1 to tight hi-gain chuging

I use blues breaker that built in kemper and it sounds great. I don’t want to use some extra pedals to avoid tap dancing

Maybe you should update rig manager

I think it’s ok, my master volume is at -16 and rigs at 0. So in my DAW I’ve got -7 db.

I’ve got only one question when I got my kemper- how to stop playing guitar??
-
That is how my loopback works. I'm monitoring my sound in Logic and i don't hear the latency, that loopback gives. hope it will help
-
Thank you for this feedback! Last time I tried using Logic (my daw) using the Guitar Rig plugin with Loopback and Zoom it had a lot of latency. Have you not found that to be the case with the Kemper?
If you want to play with someone using zoom, there always will be a latency. So, i think there is no way to do it in real time now. But if you want to play with playback and translate it in zoom, it will work well. I used Bias Amp before Kemper and i switched on the low latency mod for plugins in Logic in audio preferences. With Kemper all works well, so i use it for my on line lessons.

Hi! I plug my Kemper with TRS from main out to my focusrite. Then signal goes to my DAW where i can adjust all the volume level. Then i transfer the signal with loopback app to any video app (zoom, skype, discord) So if you want to play with youtube, you can add your browser in loopback and adjust volume there. hope it make sense
-
Hi! There you can find OS updates. You want to download the performances in local library? any way https://www.youtube.com/watch?…U&ab_channel=ToneJunkieTV this may help, i found a lot from his videos about kemper
-
I agree, it does sound fantastic, it just plays weird.
maybe it depends of your guitar and your style of playing. When I play through kemper I feel same if I’d play through real amp. Mostly I use active pickups.
-
Cool. Do you switch „instrument“ on or off on the scarlett?
I switch it on
-
I plug kemper with a guitar cable from main output to instrumental input in Scarlett solo. I adjust the main output volume on kemper so that my channel in logic wouldn’t clipping.
