Uhm....no. Sorry you're disappointed, but something is clearly wrong here, and it isn't that the cabinet is a garbage design.

here's a little tip- you should understand what you're replying to before you reply. Reading and comprehension go hand in hand. I was saying that possibly rough handling during shipping is what killed it. I don't know how you could read that and the assume I was talking about the cabinet design.

I just got my kemper cabinet and this thing is a pain in the ass. I don't know how to hook it up and i can't find instructions anywhere. Anyone know how to connect these things and choose between speaker imprint? now it's giving me no options to do anything but plug it in

the sound you would hear on utube will be a MICED sound and not what you will hear in the room.

I watched one where a guy did an AB and you could tell the difference. He wasn't using the kabinet though, just regular guitar speakers. He was just demonstrating the difference between a kemper and an amp.

And those kones aren't meant to be miced. like you said, so that prevents a proper AB on them. just have to wait and see for myself

nice. i couldn't find any youtube videos with a proper A/B to see the difference so buying the kabinet was a leap of faith. I would have preferred to just fill a marshall cab with kones but the kabinet was a cheaper option.

500 bucks for a 1x12 cabinet seems a little too much to me. I can get a marshall 4x12 for that. But I already have a marshall 4x12, so I bought a kemper kabinet. I think we use 4x12 cabinets out of tradition but it makes sense to me to use just one 200 watt speaker instead of 4 30-75 watters. How many gigs does the average musician really need a 4x12 cabinet for? For one thing a 1x12 cab is a lot lighter. Given that you can use 1 kemper kone for a kemper kabinet but you need 4 speakers to fill a marshall the kemper is more cost effective, though it has a much higher price than a v30, greenback, etc. Also, those kemper kabinets are really stylish. They look great. It would look cool onstage to have a wall of kemper kabinets behind you.

But anyway, to those that have one, does it solve the "amp in the room" issue that digital units have?

the problem was exiting the rig manager after update by pressing the X rather than opening the drop down window and selecting exit. When I exited the program that way the rig manager updated properly and that resolved all my issues. thanks

it says this every time I open my rig manager. Then a dialogue box opens to update the software, so i do. The rig manager updates and closes and then the next time i open i have to go through that whole process once again. really annoying. it makes the rig manager useless. anyone know how to fix this?
