I think all of us experienced this problem at one time or another, first year i had the kpa i hated it and wanted my boogie back but once i learned that the sound i was chasing was wrong (amp in the room) and retrained my ear to listen to the sound that the mic captures it began to make sense…. Figure out how to mimic moving the mic and use way less gain then you think you need , use the hp/lp filter also . Usually if the profile sounds awesome by yourself it dosent sound good in the mix but if its kinda the opposite of what your used to (amp in room) it will cut through nicely…. All of this is just my personal thought and experience hope it helps

Not sure if this helps but i just sold one and factory wiped it , new owner set it up and i received an email letting me know the old kemper was detached from my user name .

So like many of us i came over to kemper two years ago and also like many struggled at first to understand it but once i read the manual i got it where i love it . I picked up a rack mount today and have 1 question i really hope i can get confirmation on …….. if i back up my toaster when the rack gets here and load the back up will everything load identical.. hi/lo filters and all? Thanks guys

I mostly practice through my monitors but when its late i just wear my in ears ,but every once and a while ints nice to move some air so i personally vote for all three

Mine was like that when i got it , it just had way to many profiles on it… cleared it out and use my 5 only . Turns on quick

Good rule of thumb that i use… if the profile sounds killer without the band it will sound very lifeless but the profiles that are really annoying almost .. sound awesome with the band

oh and for what its worth i think the magic is in the mids not the volume
-
I struggled with that also so i started walking out front during soundcheck now that i use a wireless , id have some one kick my boost on and off so i could hear the foh difference . It was to loud in my ears cause i was to loud lol so i dialed it back and it sounds great

Im up to 6 now lol

Bahahahha your so right my friend

Well i must say after an insane amount of trial and error i finally did it…. I had hit the point where i just hated this thing but i hated it cause i didnt take the time to understand it so i read the manual 4 times and i can honestly say i could not be happier , foh sounds so close to my monitor cab and what is in my iem. So with that being said stay humble and check your ego when you get one of these and it will unlock that tone you have been chasing !if you take the time to learn how to make this thing do what you want it too

The hi cut tamed those nasty frequencies and now it sounds just like it should

sennhieser xsw and westone um 20 buds, rest of the band sounds great just not me
-
I have not but i sure will give it a shot, im guessing you had issues with this also?

I am relatively new to the kemper world and i know the answer is always …. Read the manual ! But when i hear my tone in my in ears it sounds terrible but sounds great through monitors kab or both … anyone got any ideas ? Its hard to throw down when you aint got your tone right
