Just wanted to bump this in tribute to the passing of a legend and innovator. The world is a bit less with him gone now.

I like this idea. For me, using RM means that I'm focused on the PC, not looking at the Kemper display or the remote. I'm sitting in front of the computer and the Kemper is elsewhere in the studio.

Hi welcome!
1. Rig Manager works only with a physical USB cable, not over ethernet. You can of course install Rig Manager on two computers, but of course only one can be connected to the Kemper at a time.
2. I found the following info about renaming your Profiler on page 274 of the manual.
LCD / HW Setup / Brightness / User Interface
On the LCD / HW Setup page you can control the settings for the display and adjust the “Line Frequency” parameter.
Press the soft button labeled “Startup Dialog” to enter the menu where you can enter your name and set current time and date. Whenever you create your own PROFILEs, the “Rig Author” tag will default to the Owner Name. The “Startup Dialog” appears automatically when the PROFILER is started for the first time.
Using the soft button labeled “Edit Owner” you can edit the Owner Name and assign a Device Name to your PROFILER. Assigning unique Device Names is useful if you intend to connect and manage multiple PROFILER units with the Rig Manager application.
3. Sorry, cant help with this, but I'm sure someone else will come along shortly...

So, I'll tell you my THR/Kemper story...
The THR10X was my main home practice amp. The Brown II setting was godly. Great 3D sounds, tuner, batteries, portable, etc. Only flaw? It sounded hideous through headphones.
So I go and try the new THR30ii in July 2021 at the local Mom & Pop music store. It sounded good, and there was some definite improvement in some features. Bought it. Then within 2 days, I A/B'ed it with the 10X tones & preferred the 10X. Go back to the store, returned it, feeling defeated...
Then a couple of days later, I go to the big box music store uptown & what is sitting there, used? A Toaster! It was returned after 2 weeks, and it was $800 off the new price. Put some money down on it & then a payment plan for the rest.
Wow.
The Kemper has literally changed my life, my playing & reinvigorated my love for the guitar. Opinions are subjective & I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade - but the Kemper *wipes the floor* with the THR amps. Better/more realistic tones, editing flexability, more outputs, better 'real amp' feel, multiple noise gates, pedals, EQ's & a headphone out that is absolutely god-like.
The tones this amp has under it's hood is incredible! Just my 2 cents & glad you love the Yamaha so much, man!
I'm dont usually do Me-Too posts, but yeah me too. I have an older THR-10X that also gets used everyday. I love that thing.

Can't morph between rigs, but you can have a morph between a clean/gainy version of the same rig.
You can try a couple different things....
1) just morphing the gain knob (probably not the best idea)
2) try the old reliable Tubescreamer method before the rig and morph the Mix and/or Gain on the TS itself
3) just set the rig to clean and add your distortion of choice . Morph the Mix and/or Gain on the pedal.
It depends what kind of clean you want (JC120? Blackface clean?) and the kind of gainy sound you want.
Hope this helps...

Here's my Remote set up with Barefoot Buttons. I'm barefoot quite a bit and these really help with and without shoes on.
I like it!

I’ve been contemplating the in ear route for years. I used a sennheusee system years ago but hated it. In reflection it was obviously down to the earbuds themselves. Anyway, I normally use a pair of earplugs on stage. Not so much down to the backline volume more to reduce the nightmare of cymbals in small venues. My question is, would the in ears have the same effect as earplugs but with the additional bonus of mixing in a ‘low volume’ ox on top of the attenuation caused by earplugs or would it be a completely different experience.
There is a kind of isolated feeling of using earplugs or IEMs. If you're used to earplugs, then IEMs will probably work out pretty well for you.
It's super cool to have a individualized mix, and instruments stay within a reasonable volume level. It's easier to have an overview how the band sounds.
I'm using a In-Ear Stagediver SD4 and I'm quite happy with them.

I have been using IEM's since the late 90's (as you can see in my picture ). I have been gigging in bands since the early 80's.
Bands with low stage volume have a fundamental advantage over bands with loud stages. All that noise causes several problems:
1) All the open mics pickup the noise from the stage and reamplify it through the FOH resulting in a mushy mix out front
2) If the volume of the stage at the vocal mic is louder than the vocalist, it becomes impossible to get the vocals above the mix
3) Guitar amps are directional in the extreme. Part of the audience will be blasted by guitar while part will barely be able to hear the guitar.
4) None of the band members can hear each other well. Turning the floor wedges up just makes the problem worse (or causes feedback)
I play guitar like all of you so of COURSE I like to hear my rig dimed. The strings come alive and feeling a palm mute thump your chest is amazing...... but it isn't a good way to play in a band. In fact, it is a sure way to kill the sound of the band out front.
I believe that lead guitar players (I play rhythm and only a few leads since I am also the lead singer) do need a live monitor on stage, but one pointed at them, not at the audience. This is to get the string action for a good lead. I still think that even the lead player should use IEM's as it is by far the best way to hear the rest of the band.
I don't care how good you are, if you can't hear the rest of the band, you won't be able to sound as good as you could hearing them.
No, IEM's DON'T sound like an amp in the room. In many respects they sound better, but for pure guitar tone, they just don't IMO. That's OK. I actually like hearing a good mix in my IEM's.
As an aside, you are much more likely to be able to hear what the audience hears with IEM's than you are with floor wedges IME.
Nice post! All points valid!

Hi!
Schau mal hier: https://www.kemper-amps.com/downloads/5/User-Manuals#

Great sound, thanks for sharing!

A more tweakable chorus would indeed be very welcome. I can't give up the Eventide, but I would if I could.

I always preferred Cleartone EMP strings over Elixir, they feel and sound just like regular strings but really do last way longer,
especially if you clean the strings before putting the guitar away (ghs Fast Fret for me).
I've tried a set of the Cleartone EMP 9s and it seems they stay brighter, longer. I'd say that I was a convert if they weren't so expensive.

Try updating the Kempie to the lastest OS. Maybe 8.6 isn't compatible with the latest RM version, which I assume you're using.
-

I always use a USB to update. Format/Initialize the USB stick on the Kemper itself. A couple folders will be placed on the stick. One of them is an 'Update' folder if I remember correctly. The Kaos.bin goes in there, it shouldn't be in the root directory.
