think i prefer the Fryette on the clean/crunch, then high gain for me sounded a little bright
-
8s will have more bass, good for electronic music and beats, for guitar purposes you probably dont need it.
-
yep, i have tried them and they sound excellent. I will have some myself soon

Interesting. I haven't considered this, yet, because it says it is a dedicated bass amp. Maybe an AB comparison with the Loudster will bring more light. I'll think about it and if I order both for comparison I'll come back to share.
C Kemper himself was the one who mentioned it on here (thats why i considered it). There is a recent clip on here somewhere a poster compares his BAM200 with a fryette ps2 which is much more epensive, and some preferred the BAM200 over it anyway. A tube poweramp can add too much colour to a sound

Has anybody here tried the Hotone Loudster? It does not provide that amount of power as the other solutions presented (70W, I think) but at about 140 Euros it seems to be the cheapest class D solution that isn't necessarily bad.
check out the TCBAM 200. Quite a few of us on here are using that with great results, i got mine for around £100

well said

not sold in europe anyore anyway

where did you get the dt25 cabs? i liked the look of them for the same purpose but couldnt find any
-
so you can store imprints to rigs already? wow great job
-
You cannot see, if this is ICE Power based amp, can you?
ive no idea as im not familar with the tech, thought maybe others might recognise the layout or parts on it
-
Would someone who owns a BAM200 be willing to remove the top and take a clear photo of the internals? I cannot get a response from TC Electronics' web site, so no possibility of asking them for details at the moment.
not mine, but from a google search
-
All EQ was flat on TC Electronic. Input at noon. Master Vol around 10 o clock.
i notice you have gain at 12 o clock on the BAM, i havnt been able to go past 9 o clock noodling on some clean stuff . If you dialled the gain back a tad you would likely get them even more similar (if wanted to, BAM seems to sound more agressive and clearer the more gain thrown at it). Very helpful clip though, thanks for taking the time

It's super compact compared to PS-2. Let's see next, how it sounds with Kabinet
this will be an interesting comparison
-
that’s interesting. I have a pair of Mesa Thiele EVM12L cab and a Kabinet. They definitely sound different but I’m really impressed with the Kabinet.
i wonder how much of a cabinet people are listening to in preference to judging the Kone itself
-
it would be very interesting to see someone actually put the Kone in a thiele cab and give their verdict. The Kabinet is fairly narrow so likely wont get the bass kick in comparison to a deeper cabinet
-
any issues with the amp being 8hm and the kemper kone being 4 ohm? Debating between this and the SD PS-170
the BAM200 does 4 ohm, i have a brand new one here waiting to be opened . i was looking at the SD170 but its 3x the price

Here is the question... The purpose of having the Kemper (From what I have read) and seen videos on are not only from being able to choose between all the different rigs, but from bands I've seen like (A Day To Remember) or (August Burns Red) or (Trivium), they have all switched to the Kemper and play direct (no cabs) so they do not need to transport Cabs anymore, and they plug in direct to mixing desk at every show.
When I invested just over a month ago into the Kemper, I wasn't just doing it to get all the sounds but also for practicality when gigging.
I understand all of the points above, but I am now confused as to what I should do when I do decide to perform with the Kemper live for the first time. I am still learning a bit more every day so I am sure there must be something I am not quite understanding yet.
Like I mentioned above, the bands I mentioned are plugging in direct and no cabs, and hey must be having good sound if they are using it direct but based on some comments above, you are saying that the sound isn't great going direct which is confusing as to why these bigger name bands would go direct if the sound was bad?
Trying to understand, thank you everyone for your help!
the cab is purely for the players enjoyment i believe. So you have the great direct sound going to the PA as normal, and you also enjoy the feeling of a guitar cabinet on stage, thats how i see it anyway

I am in Canada
It's good to know it could take some time. I guess I'll have to wait a couple of days.
consider whats happening in the world at the moment aswell. Ive been ordering a few things last week in the UK and many courier services are delayed a good few days to normal
