Great that it works now!

Hehe...
Will you buy it, then? -
That's right. I got on the list March 9, so I assume I belong to the last ones that got their unit from the first batch. I was surprised as well.
I hope you guys get your units within the next weeks.
Did Tom tell anything about the estimated time between first and second batch? -
I agree. In the aforementioned example the contributions of the amp (INCLUDING ITS REVERB) is far more than 30 %.
Turn sag way up with the Bassman profile. -
Also lots of generally as 'clean' perceived amps have a slight amount of grit/distortion to them.
Dialing in a touch of distortion helps, as well as the use of the amp compressor. -
Ok, I see.
A very nifty design indeed.
Very unique!
But what if it sounds like s*it? -
Lightning or Thunderbolt?
Sorry, thunderbolt.
I confused the two... -
Beatles?
Always welcome! -
When you post, you click "Settings"(underneath Message box,3-tabs "Smileys,Settings, Poll"), then check "Show signature".
It does not show automatically.THIS!
You only need to do it once.
This is really a quirk with this forum software. -
In a normal scenario with amplifying with a normal cab or a FRFR speaker: none
With headphones: some, to my liking.
Recording direct: it depends, room gives a certain phasing which is interesting as it gives a kind of '2 guitars at once impression' that can be appealing for certain effects. But normally I record dry and create the room in the DAW. -
What I got from the website is that it's a PC running Win 7 and some audio software incl. some JBL monitors and inputs/outputs that guitarists are familiar with.
Where did you get the practice amp reference? -
Ok great!
Concerning the tremolo, it doesn't matter whether it's on or off. When I select that rig from the HD500, the tremolo is always on.
Hmm... This means the HD 500 sends a CC # when sending a PC for the first time.
This CC is not assigned to the tremolo but to the slot the tremolo sits in (e.g 17= Stomp A, 18=B etc.)
Can you check in the HD's midi settings what gets sent?
You can also monitor midi traffic by using a tool like midi ox. -
Welcome to the forum!
The KPA accepts normal program changes and is not structured in banks.
All you need to do in the KPA is assign a rig to a certain PC.
As for the banks organization and sending different PC's from the MFC you should refer to its reference manual. There's also a list of the controller numbers the MFC needs to send to control FX on/of status in the KPA.
Unfortunately I can't help you more in detail as my MFC is long sold... -
My 13" Retina has One! Is there a possibility?
I was only asking.
I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro with FireWire out and I use a FireWire/Lightning adapter with my MBP 13" Retina. -
I think I might also be indirectly resonsible for a few units...
-
Welcome!
As was said before, try it yourself.
In this case only hearing is believing and I mean it.
I had personally owned the Ultra and the Axe II before and was able to come to a personal conclusion within a few hours comparing those units. -
Does your MBP have the lightning instead of FireWire already?
-
Hmm...
Apart from the beautiful design I can't say I'm thrilled.
Neither by the specs not by the included software...
As good as Studio One is (and I own it, too), it's clearly not for everybody.
It would be better to strip the whole thing down, reduce the price and leave the customer choice options for different software packages that could be configured in a custom way. -
Welcome!
You'll love the KPA for sure.
And by now there are several recommendable solutions available to build a FRFR rig.
Just look around this forum.... -
But the comb filtering through the phase shift between the two mics will shape the EQ curve very strong. You will and up with another tone EQ vise, as if you would take only 1 mic or 2, but 100% in phase
True, but will this comb filtering and EQ alteration be necessarily a bad thing? Not in my opinion.
