Good you're sorted!
No Kidding, Doc, my KPA is LOUD! I can't tell you how many digital devices I've had where I sometimes can't get the volumes I need on my computer without using the gain of the soundcard, which increases the noise signal.
The KPA has so much headroom, goes in clean, just sweet!
Yes you're right!
I will try to compare when the CLR becomes available in Europe.
I'm not quite sure yet if it's worthwhile to go the extra mile with the CLR, which in the end means tweaking your rigs with the least colouring system for a FOH that may well be colouring your sound again.
In the end we'll still have to rely on the miking guy not to fxck up our precious signal.
OTOH I have to say that I have owned 4 different Atomic products up to now: the 18W/1x12 unit, the 50W/2x12, the FR cab and the FR wedge.
I have always felt they were solid but not outstanding.
Let's see if the CLR can live up to the hype.
Sorry wrong post...
Curious sounds like you're not as fond of the Atomic CLR!!!
The picture doesn't show an Atomic CLR but it's predecessor Atomic FR.
What's better on a Friday night?
Welcome!
I'm sure is a joke...but I don't get it....
Don't worry. I think db9091 wants to express that the KPA already goes to eleven.
Like in Spinal Tap, which is fiction, but the KPA is REAL 11.
Wow!
Now I want one.
Definitely.
Hello
And do you mean that i must go kemper system menu and there page midi footswitch where is two footswitches and you can turn them on or off and there is volume delay wah-wah tuner and so on..... What i must there chance?
Definitely not!
All programming must be done in the FCB (which is very tedious and not recommended) or using an editor.
Also follow the advice about pedal calibration.
Yes, it's nice to see a certain kind of comradship around here, 99% of the time.
A big
Yes I understand completely.
I haven't fired up my Marshall 6100 or Vox AC 30 in a while.
But selling? No way, not now. Amps like these bear value in themselves. Idealistically speaking...
Sometimes I'm only looking at them while playing my KPA in my bedroom studio.
Like a perfect illusion.
Crazy, innit?
Gern geschehen!
I run the main outs to FOH. For my personal monitoring I get very good results using a cheap Fender Mustang III via monitor out (cab sim off) tilted behind me or from the side or a (more expensive) Yamaha DXR 10 Wedge (cab sim on) facing me directly.
burningyen: Thanks for the review! VERY interesting!
Andy has a Fender Excelsior in one of his packs. They are 15".
The gig went very well.
The DXR 10 only amplified my KPA (vocals and other signals went through another backline).
It was a very 'noisy' stage and the DXR held up very well.
Also the very wide sound dispersion (no beam!) is very nice.
Sounded great and felt great.
It may very well be that ATM the DXR series gives you the most bang for the buck when you're Shopping for a FRFR solution..
At one point I will have to compare it side by side with an Atomic CLR to see/hear if there are differences that justify the much higher price of the CLR.
