Hey thanks Monkey_Man ! No never heard of them, I’ll have to check them out as I do like some space rock, I imagine though they do it properly with actual good vocals and Nashville ready musicianship and production.

Thanks BayouTexan Mats_Nermark and Franjoe30 !
Mats_Nermark - It’s just a quick improvisation. All my daily noodles are my own compositions. I wrote out a few chords first, did a couple of different takes till I found one I liked and removed a couple of bum notes from the midi. The A and B sections were recorded separately as I felt on listen back to the A part it was just too short needed a little more just to give it direction. -

Great use of some dive bombing in the main riff Franjoe30 ! Very powerful sound.

Great spacious sounds , very big sky. Really enjoyed this track!

Thanks Mats_Nermark its the Linndrum, ubiquitous to many electro pop tracks of the early to mid 80s including Art of Noise, Yello, Prince and others. This incarnation is from the Hitmaker SDX (hitmaker machines).

Great ZZ-Top feel and guitar riffing sounds on point!

It’s primarily the vocal that stands out as harsh to me, I’m guessing pushing that to get it clear and audible. If you softened the piano and cymbals you could probably reduce the vocal treble push and it would feel more relaxed and less harsh.
With regards the dissonant riff, it doesn’t bother me, many tunes utilize dissonance as an ear catcher (Steam’s Hey Hey Goodbye for example), and I get you want to introduce some less saccharine elements to bring edge however I feel it needs to be leaned into more in that case. The riff lacks intentionality right now against that intro backdrop, either change the riff or the background.
Otherwise great song, really enjoyed it. -
Thanks Monkey_Man and Franjoe30 ! I’ll have to go check it out.
