Hi!
I have been wondering..
What is the correct routing setup for the Kemper with my Profire 2626 sound card, so i make sure that i use the best signal output as possible for recording guitars?
I always record 2 left rhytm guitars, 2 right rhytm guitars, and 1 center solo guitar..

Am I the only one who notices an excess of that very particular high end signature at the KPA outputs? In fact it's not necessarily "high end", it really resembles what is commonly known as "twang" and associated with telecasters, for lack of a better description. I have tried to determine the offending frequency or frequencies and failed miserably. Lately I've been comparing the original amp tone with the KPA profile and can't seem for the life of me to make them sound close enough that the KPA turns out as inspiring as the original. Not sure if I'm getting the idea across here, I know what I'm saying is quite subjective, but I'm hoping someone else feels the same and, better yet, has worked out a solution for the "problem". I'm putting the KPA through a Yamaha DXR10 for monitoring if that helps.
Now don't get me wrong, I love the KPA and have no plans of selling it, it's a great solution for having decent amp sounds with a lightweight setup and small footprint, but I will honestly say that it's not nearly as inspiring as the real thing precisely because of its high end content.

Same though here. Perhaps psychoacoustic issue.
It make me think that it does not sound better today than a plugin with good IRs and sometimes i want to sell it.
But i can capture everything i want into the box so...but if it sounds like a plugin..just meh.
We must be wrong.
I have some spdif reamp files between 1.8.2 and 2.xxx.
Not sure the comparaison is valid i had to normalize both.ça sonne comme un plugin? t'exageres pas un peux là ?

It might just be me but I find this particular guitar sound extremely interesting. I can´t put my finger on what exactly it is that makes it so special but I really wanna try to get something close to this. So if you have any Ideas on how to get that sound or which profile to use and how tweak it in order to get the sound please let me know. I really don´t know where to start...

Interesting experience , been tryin'em and they are great boogie renditions !
Most have too much gain for me so I tweaked it down with a locked wah booster to enjoy all the gain course on each of them , and also used my fav cabs after :
With the original cab : F is the best for me , M is really heavy
With cab swapped : C F K and M are great on my gear (LP / FRFR ) for santanish & ZZ top stuff, really good boogie feel, I keep them.
