    Hi Sebastian,


    We sold single profile sets for $19.99 since the start.
    The bundle price increases while more and more profile sets were added - it's not an abo - it includs all available profiles at the time of purchase - and it's currently 35% off.


    IMHO even $19.99 is quite cheap for more than 30 profiles - and the lot of work needed to create them.

  • Soundside Profiles

    Koch Studiotone profiles are now included in the full bundle and can be purchased as separate set as well.


    The bundle includes now 199 profiles - so one profile is less than 50 cent.

  • Amp and Profileinspector

    Her report:


    1)
    KPA sounds the same as the amp in low frequency range (below 20khz)


    2)
    Amps are more fun - greater chance to find a mouse inside.


    3)
    Buy some profiles from Soundside or I get only the cheap food ;)

  • Koch Studiotone DI Profiles

    The Koch Studiotone is a very versatile and great sounding amp.


    This small amp has 3 channels (clean, drive and drive +).


    There are endless options to tweak the sound (on the front and backside).


    I use this amp for all my band rehearsals and gigs (light, small, versatile and great sounding) - as well as for direct recording.

  • Tip #8: Record the KPA

    It may be strange but I don't use the digital outs but the XLR's


    Connect them directly to my Alesis Mastercontrol (audiointerface, mixer and controller)
    Record all with Cubase Elements 6 (about 100Euro's)
    Then I mixdown to wav (Elements can not mixdown to mp3)
    The last step is to cut, normalize, create fade in's/out's and convert to mp3 using Audacity (free)

    The acoustic profile package contains both:


    - Raw body resonances (no effects) of various instruments stored into the KPA amp and cab block.


    - Variations of the Raw-Profiles and/or effects added


    These profiles can be used to let an electric guitar sound more acoustic.

    I had a lot of trouble with the German tax authority in the last weeks - they seam to be more used to see people sell real hardware and not virtual stuff like sounds, patches and apps ;)

  • Tip 7#: Create a cool pitch shifter effect

    Since firmware 1.10 added the "Frequency Shifter" we can create some nice modulated sounds - try this for the start:


    "Frequency Shifter" in A.B.C or D
    Manual 5.3
    Mix 25%


    Use more than one "Frequency Shifters" and use different "Manual" settings.
