Hey Hafi!
To be Carltonish seems to be where I'm at.

Great Hands Killer! Well Played Sir, Larry would hug you for that one.
Hi Muddy,
Thanks, but I doubt Larry would be interested.

Awesome! I hear Sergio Mendes singing on that.
I'd like that!
Probably quite a bit more than he'd like it.

Very smooth, very well done Mats_Nermark ! You've nailed all the tones and just general sounds perfectly and playing is top notch. Add a vocalist to the ballad and I think you'd no longer feel insecure about it to want to downplay it as mere elevator music, remember most elevator music is just instrumental rearrangements of huge hits.
Thanks Per!
Unlike most elevator music, I suspect my tune will never be a huge hit.

This is, indeed, a very pop song!

I like this one. I actually really like this one. The amazing thing is that I can't find anything in it that I could have done even if I had been at it for a very long time..

Very cool!

This tune made me smile at the many pointers to happenings in pop music.

The Riff-Meister at it again!
Is there no end to your ideas?

Once again, a smash from the Per Hit Factory. I agree with the comment about it sounding a bit like the Cars but I personally see this as what Roxette really should have been.

The beginning up to 0:40 reminds me about what we used to do in our Electronic Music classes when I attended the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Lots of fun to produce soundscapes.

Man, I wish I would be able to resist listening to your tunes as I always come out of it feeling frustrated about my own playing and recordings.
This was fatter than 10 pounds of fried bacon.
Cheers,

Superb from all perspectives. I especially envy you your clean right hand picking.

Thick guitars!
Do you double track them?
Cheers,
Mats N
Cool man.
How did you get that sound at 40s brother?
I'm not Per, but I get sounds like that by dragging the pick along one or more of the thicker wound strings.
Cheers,
Mats N
Hey Per,
People tell me I'm a versatile composer, but compared to you my width is about the thickness of ordinary printing paper.

Quite often I feel like I would like to get to know a style that I'm not familiar with. At least get to know it enough to write a new tune in what I feel is close enough to the style.
This time I opted for some Latin Pop of the somewhat over arranged highfalutin style that some people might call elevator music.
I did, however, enjoy writing this tune and this is the result.
For this tune I broke out the Colling I-35LC as I was aiming for some Larry Carlton vibes.
Cheers,
Mats N
So that's a new thing. I don't sing but I do musical vocalizing.

Brilliant laid back track, lead work is brilliant
Thanks, Joe!
I usually have a hard time playing lead and accepting what come out as I think I should be able to do better as I'm listening daily to spectacularly good players and I'm afraid I compare myself to them too much. And pay too little mind to the fact that these are my tunes and even though I can't play very fast, these are still my tunes.
Cheers,

Very good Mats, love the production. Lovely melodies, the guitar sounds are super smooth!
Thank you for that wonderful comment. I spend a lot of time on arranging and mixing so it's cool to see that someone notices.
Cheers,
