It has a lot more usage than just sustain, I do great organic pads with it , use a 3 voices KPA harmonizer & voilà
Thanks for the tip!

It was suggested to me that I should try to write simpler melodies. Melodies that you can hum along to.
So this is my attempt at a hummable melody.
I've been humming it quite often lately to be honest.

The solo was pure luck, for once i just hit the right notes in the right order
Ha, ha! I'll tell this to all my guitar students.
"It's easy! Just play the right notes in the right order!".
Excellent advice.
I think I will try that myself one of these days.
By the way, nice playing.

Very interesting mix of influences.

Great 1st try.
In addition to what Per suggested I would enjoy a more powerful drum sound and lots more reverb on the drums. The snare especially would benefit from some more punch.
Looking forward to take 2!

Hey Renaud,
Hope you're still better.
Regarding this track, I got a playful feeling from it.
I know where my E-Bow is and every time I see it I think to myself that I really should use it more and then I promptly forget it again.

You seem to be in a sort of pop mode lately.

When I listened to this and closed my eyes, a movie started playing in my head.
A guys drives down main street looking for someone. He stops, gets out of the car and goes into a bar. The light is dim so he stands there looking around for that someone. Then at the same time that someone realizes that he's observed he looks up and our guy and the dude look at each other. At that very moment the music stops and I'll never get to know how the movie ended.

Ha, ha! What a cool ending!

I wanted to go slightly overboard with the Kemper internal fx, so to go with that, I used a few non-traditional guitar sounds I've made and used a lot of the internal fx to make this. All the sounds and fx you hear were made by the Kemper except for drums and percussion. So to me the KPA is not only a guitar amp thingy but also very useful to complement/replace synths and numerous fx.

Brilliant guitar playing on this, i wish i could play lead guitar like this, so smooth and emotive. The guitar tone are fantastic, which profile did you use?
Hey Joe!
Thanks for your kind words.
If memory serves, the profile was one from my ODS-style pack .

Well played and recorded Mats. All of a sudden it is not such a horror to get stuck in an elevator... as long as they play your tune there
Ha, ha! Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Yeah great mix
Super mellow lead ! Well done Mats
Hi Waraba,
Thank you for lending your ears and for your continuing support.

Hey Hafi!
To be Carltonish seems to be where I'm at.

Great Hands Killer! Well Played Sir, Larry would hug you for that one.
Hi Muddy,
Thanks, but I doubt Larry would be interested.

Awesome! I hear Sergio Mendes singing on that.
I'd like that!
Probably quite a bit more than he'd like it.

Very smooth, very well done Mats_Nermark ! You've nailed all the tones and just general sounds perfectly and playing is top notch. Add a vocalist to the ballad and I think you'd no longer feel insecure about it to want to downplay it as mere elevator music, remember most elevator music is just instrumental rearrangements of huge hits.
Thanks Per!
Unlike most elevator music, I suspect my tune will never be a huge hit.

This is, indeed, a very pop song!

I like this one. I actually really like this one. The amazing thing is that I can't find anything in it that I could have done even if I had been at it for a very long time..

Very cool!
