I always happy to hear your tracks as they take me in the direction I want to follow, i.e. making tunes with synths and lot of guitar.
Great stuff!

Hi John,
I can only agree with Joe, your playing and feel are fantastic. As is your sense of timing!
Great sound too.

This is a very fun track. Made me smile and start tapping my foot.

Hey Per!
Both Caregiver and A Life Well Spent carry a lot of Beatles vibes. A like it a lot!

Oh Mats_Nermark this is fab, right from the first notes, so laid back and vibey. Along with your fantastic lead playing
Thanks, Joe!
I must admit I'm quite fond of this tune.
Cheers,
Mats N
Thanks Mats_Nermark ! It’s probably because you’re pursuing tone but I’m looking for sound.
For me it’s about the production, each instrument should be evocative but the right sound may be much more extreme than a “good” guitar tone.
I see what you're saying but I do try to see the bigger picture in the vision of the finished tune. So I think your picture is very different from mine.

Sounds Lovely! well done!
..and It's not common to have a 4:47 song not annoying at all !
Thanks for those kind words!
I usually try to hold my tunes at about 3 minutes but some of them just want their time.

This is just so funny.
The first second when I heard the first isolated guitar chord, I thought that if I was given a guitar sound like that I would probably think there was something wrong in my rig. But you make it work so well within the context of that tune. I don't know what's wrong with me.

Sweet dark lead tone, just like I love'em ,well done Mats
Thanks, Renaud!
I had to spend some time to get t to be suitable dark without losing clarity.

Great soul vibe going on there Mats_Nermark !
Thanks, Per!
Slightly outside my usual playground, but I did enjoy it.

I have loved Larry Carlton since I first heard him play back in the early 80s. I love both his clean tones as well as his OD sounds.
Here's a bit of pop/soul using both his clean and OD sounds with the usual and obvious inspirational sources.
I hope you will find it interesting!

Merry Christmas to you too, Joe!
Slicer effects are just so much fun and you are using it very nicely.

Thx Mats, the star is the DX here , what a wonderful synth , especially the arturia VST , so easy to edit and full of iconic presets I love synth more & more
While I've always first and foremost have been a guitarist, I started me career in the musical instrument industry as a freelance DX7 programmer.
I still use my original presets from way back when for the DX7 in the Native-Instruments FM8.
I've been considering the Arturia bundle but I need more synths as much as a third tit so probably not.
Do you have the full bundle?
Cheers,
Mats N
This was a preset from d Petersen. I think it was called B cloud. It’s a les Paul into the KPA and rolling the volume up and down. Nothing else added it already had a beautiful lush sound.
Thanks! I'll check that out.

Well done Mats, great floyd tones and vibe , Great muted strat notes, I love'em very much we call them 'cocottes' in french
... did you use the phaser vibe for that slow roto effect ?
I would suggest an even deeper & more sustaining bass , as there is room for more on my monitors & I love deep basses vs a very clean guitar & lead
Thanks, Renaud!

Mats N
