If you set Pure Boost to +2, do we know how much gain we have to increase (with gain knob) to get exactly the same effect? I am not in front of my Kemper, but could be a different scaling thing?
Or it has to do with the intentional function, that CK implemented, which ensures balanced volume levels in the Kemper.
I have no idea about the ratio of the scaling of the two different gains. I did try to set the two gains to match the effect on the sound and feel but either didn't succeed in matching or it is actually different.
To be honest, I don't really care what is what, I just do it my way and it works for me.

This is funny.
I also feel I experience a difference and I prefer increasing the amp volume.
Another very interesting thing is that I experience a difference in sound AND feel if I use the Pure Boost to increase the gain in front of a profile compared to just increasing the profile gain. Especially for clean profiles.
I have discussed both the amp volume issue and the Pure Boost compared to increased gain with Christoph K and he says it doesn't make any difference and that I should not experience any difference.
But still I do ....

These profiles of a Dumble Steel String Singer clone work great for that.
For cleans as they are and with some gain for edge of breakup.
They also work excellent with the new Kemper Drive.

I guess its a very big world out there,,,, music wise,,
This is so true, and I'm very thankful for it. Especially these strange days.

he produced some of his bigest tunes as well as many other acts,,based in Nashville,,Dann Lee Huff (born November 15, 1960) is an American record producer and songwriter.[2] For his work as a producer in the country music genre he has won several awards including the Musician of the Year award in 2001, 2004, and 2016 at the Country Music Association Awards and the Producer of the Year award in 2006 and 2009 at the Academy of Country Music.[3] He is the father of American singer and songwriter Ashlyne Huff and brother of Giant and White Heart drummer David Huff.
Here is one of my all time fav tunes,, and solos,,,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn4-qWZW6hY
As the guy who started this thread, I'm very well aware of who Dann is and his history/importance.
But your questions was if I'd heard of Keith Urban.
I'm very well aware of his stuff as well.

Thank you for the tip!
You're quite welcome!
I hope you'll find something you like.

Cheers Mats. I just checked it out and you have done a fantastic job. Yes I will be getting this from you. I am itching to have a go Brother.
Thank you so much.

Glad you like it!

Cheers maestro. I am about to check this out. is there a Dytronics tri stereo patch similar to Kristian Larson available?
Regards
Johnny
Well, the KPA can't profile fx so that is not available.
However, I've found that the KPA chorus+detune fx can come close.
Check my Youtube video tutorial:
Or you can buy my D-Style SSS Rig Pack where that rig is refined and put together with the best powerful and dynamic clean sound I have ever had in my Kemper.
As you can hear in this demo track of the rigs in that rig pack, those profiles are also good for funk, John Mayer cleans/slight OD and chicken pickin country and jazz:
Rig Pack is here:

Can you post the profile in Rig manager ? Thanxxxxxx !
The Dumble SSS clone profiles/rigs are part of my D-style SSS Rig Pack and can be found at:
http://www.nermark.com/KPA_profiles.htm
There are sound clips there so you can hear what's in the pack. I never use any other amp profile for any type of clean sound and it's excellent with the new Kemper Drive and as a clean platform with external pedals. I also get some fine John Mayer type Strat sound.

On a side note I can add that my 80's clean are so much better now compared to the video since I profiled a really nice Dumble Steel String Singer clone that is just great for defined and powerful cleans.
Cheers,
Mats N
can you post settings for this?
I haven't tried. I just mentioned that it COULD come close as in could=maybe.
I already have my 80s rack sounds down pat.
You watch my early try out here:

I think a combination of Hyper CHorus and Micro Pitch could come close.

Display MoreHey Mats,

Hi Hans,
Hearing this from a Carlton fan make me happy. Thanks!

Beautiful, Mats!
The volume swells are sublime and your dynamics in the transition out of the lead break, for example, really help transport the listener into the clouds.
Well done, mate.
My good Monkey Man!
I was hoping this would meet your approval. Thank you for your constant encouragement! It's very valuable.

Hey Mats,
Thanks for sharing the recording. I enjoyed it immensely.
Sharing is caring. And giving positive comments is even more caring, so thank you!

Wow Mats. Absolutely classy. From another planet. You really nailed the tone and the vibe. And what I really love is this incredible patience and calmness which is needed to reduce the amount of notes played. Very well done Mats, thanks for sharing!
Hi Deadman,
Thank you for your nice comment.
What you hear is not really patience but rather a non-ability to play fast.
Cheers,
Mats N
Mats, Larry would hug you for that one Amigo. Absolutely Gorgeous Man.
I appreciate you saying so, but he'd probably say something about plagiarism.

In the 1980s, I found the music of Larry Carlton. Since then he's been a constant source of inspiration, both as a guitarist and a composer.
So it's no surprise that sometimes (or often) I get accused of trying to sound like him. While I'm not anywhere Master Carlton, I nevertheless get happy when people hear the influence.
In this track I'm playing a Collings I-35LC through a Kemper amplifier using a profile I made myself.
Like Mr C I also used the volume pedal a lot to shape the tone in real time.
I really enjoyed recording this!
I hope you'll enjoy it!
Cheers,
