This thread had been inactive since more than three years. At that time we were at OS 5.2. And many users are controlling the PROFILER via MIDI and software,

Make sure you are not creating a MIDI feedback loop. In other words making the PROFILER send MIDI via its MIDI OUT, which it then receives back on its MIDI IN again and has to process, which causes another MIDI message to be sent and so on. This could make the system completely occupied processing MIDI.

Check, if you might be sending too many irrelevant MIDI messages to the PROFILER.

Normally it isn't possible to add real duplicate factory presets nor factory Rigs. If two items appear with identical names, there is one older and one newer version - you can check their different creation dates. In Rig Manager you can sort the presets by creation date and delete the older ones in one go. If you find two presets with identical names plus identical time stamps in your PROFILER pool, you should open a support ticket and investigate the case. That should not happen.

While we have done frequent house-keeping on the Rigs - there are specific factory Rigs, which have been updated multiple times during the years - I'm not aware we ever did that without changing names. There might be just a few exceptions.

However, in current OS it is possible that you load a factory preset, change settings, and store/replace the preset with your own settings. This way it receives a new creation date. And if you now import the original preset again, you will see two presets with identical names, but different settings. We don't intend to delete nor replace any Rigs nor presets, that you stored yourself.

I you intend to update your complete set of factory effect presets, I suggest you delete those upfront and then import the complete set from the current Factory Content via Rig Manager.

Volume inbalances between Rigs should be fixed via Rig Volume and other volumes within a Rig.

Frequency differences between monitor system and FOH should be adressed by adjusting the eqs and volume of MAIN OUTPUT and MONITOR OUTPUT within the output section, which are global settings by nature.

We think, these options cover all requirements effectively.

You probably don't want to rework volumes and eqs by Rig for each gig, that you play. And such an approach would compromize the ability to share Rigs within the community as Rigs would include adjustments for specific monitoring environments.

You find Freeze as one of the options at the top (soft buttons) within the reverb and delay effects menues. Be aware: the older Legacy Reverb and Legacy Delay don't offer Freeze.

If you want so assign Freeze to an Effect Button of Remote or Stage hold the Freeze option soft button in the menu and press the Effect Button simultaneously.

The whole Output Section is global. So, its setting sare applied in all modes in the same way.

Be aware, that locking is independent between Browser and Performance Mode. If you enter PROFILER Mode from Browser Mode, its last Rig from browser Mode gets applied including locking. If you enter PROFILER Mode from Performance Mode, its last Rig gets applied including locking. This might result in different base sounds in PROFILER Mode.

    Thanks for your interest:

ad 1: these parameters can eb acessed in the menu easily or via Editor

    ad 2: yes

ad 3: yes, no heat issues in normal environments

    ad 4: yes

    ad 5: yes

ad 6: normal reboot takes less than a minute - 20 minutes is absolute fake news

ad 7: yes, Rig Manager with Editor

ad 8: yes, both. You can plug your pedals between guitar and PROFILER input in an effect loop at any place within the virtual signal chain. Howver, I would recommend to test the onboard effects first and really challenge, which external effects add avlue.

ad 9: yes, Momentary (non-latching) normally open switches needed.

You seem to have locked the stack section with amp, toenstack and cabinet.

Be aware that the large letters are not necessarily the amp name. It's the Rig Name. And the Rig Name could indicate different things: an amp or an artist sound or a partiocular song.... Depends on what people want to highlight and use it for. Amp Name and other amp related tags can be found within the amplifier module.

There are tutorial videos on our web-page demonstrating how to connect an expression pedal and set up a wah effect. It's also described in the manual.

Be aware, that you cannot use the toe switch of that pedal, because it's latching. The PROFILER requires momentary switches. Mission offers another model (EP-1 KP) with a momentary toe switch. But a toe switch isn't needed. You can use Pedal Mode "Bypass@Heel", "Bypass@Stop" or "Bypass@Toe" instead.

A TS plug in the headphone output socket of your FocusRite might be the trouble maker. Headphone outputs are normally stereo and shortuctting the left and right signal within that socket might cause a cancellation. The correct approach would be a cable with a TRS jack on the FocusRite side and two TS jacks on the PROFILER side plugged into RETURN and ALTERNATIVE IN.
