These two volumes and others - for example within effects - work on top of each other.

If you adjust a volume in an effect, this will obviously only have an impact while the effect is activated.

If you created a PROFILE and feel its level is a bit light compared to other PROFILEs, you could use Amp Volume to adjust the PROFILE as such.

Rig Volume is my choice to adjust Rigs for specific musical scenes in Performance Mode.

Is the pedal you use to control volume an analog volume pedal or an expression pedal with Volume Pedal function assigned?

How do you limit the minimum level of that pedal? With Pedal Range >-5 and <0 by Rig? And have you set and stored that in all Rigs involved or is Volume Pedal locked? If locked, is it locked in both Browser Mode and Performance Mode? You should limit the range with a pot in the expression pedal itself as this might sacrifice the resolution of that pedal.

Is perhaps "WahPedal to Volume" activated? Perhaps both expression pedal are controlling Volume and are "interfering" each other.

I cannot access the picture, but if the volume bar shows "14" and no pedal is plugged in, is any (open) cable plugged into any PEDAL-socket configured as Volume Pedal? Or has the cable been pulled while the PROFILER was up and running, this has created a "shortcut" and the PROFILER interpreted the electrical resistance as "14"?

I'd rather investigate the cause of this issue;).

Do you have a dedicated volume pedal or are you using your wah pedal to control volume while no wah effect is active ("WahPedal >Volume")? In case you do, be aware of the following scenario: Let's say you leave Slot 1 which doesn't have a wah effect and pedal is at heel, so the volume pedal controller rests at minimum reflecting the pedal position. Now you load Slot 2 which has an active wah effect. Now the pedal controls the wah effect and currently cannot adjust volume. So you practically load Slot 2 with minimum volume and have no access to adjust it as your pedal is occupied. The PROFILER has a kind of autocorrection for this situation raising the volume pedal controller to 25%, so that you hear at least something. This isn't a software glitch but intended behavior dealing with the natural limitations of sharing one physical pedal for wah and volume. Just one idea around this subject.

You are jumping to conclusions and spreading uncertainty and doubt. If this was caused by a software glitch related to volume pedal, the volume pedal controller would reflect it. Have you even verified that? I'm not suggesting you are making a volume issue up. But how do you know, your volume issue is caused by the volume pedal controller while no physical pedal is connected?

I have such a specific question. Would it be possible to solve switching the Key parameter in Harmonizers over MIDI? The idea is that only commands to change the scale parameter would be sent. Does anyone know how to do this? What NRPR resp. CC use? Is there a table somewhere on the Kemper site - how to do it?

Key is available via NRPN. Please consult the MIDI Parameter Documentation available on the KEMPER download page under User Manuals.

You reported a Wah Pedal issue on September 23rd, we suggested a reset and you confirmed it to be fixed on September 26th.

I doubt there is a Volume Pedal issue like you describe it. Please provide evidence that the Volume bar on page "Pedal Links" rests at minimum while no expression pedal configured as volume pedal is connected.

You could try to place a Loop Mono in Module D, crank its Mix down, and feed the signal from the SEND (or SEND 1) into your tube amp.

But don't understand, why you don't want to use your PROFILER as your all in one device!? Just see more equipment and complexity and weight, and no value add.

If you use CabMaker to convert IRs and convert multiple IRs in one jump, you need to make sure, that the resulting file names first 24 characters differ. Otherwise these might be recognized as duplicates.

The easiest approach is not to use CabMaker, but drag&drop or copy&paste the IR-files (.wav) directly into the preset area of Rig Manager 3. The conversion capability is now integrated into Rig Manager and the process has been improved to avoid duplictaes even if multiple IR-file-names start all with the same string.

You can lower the level of the Main Output by 12 dB with the "Main Out -12 dB" PAD switch in the Output Section.

And you need to make sure, that you don't feed the line level signal of the PROFILER into a microphone input of your interface.

The Maintenance Mode you might have used was never official and should only be used if advised by our support staff. It is not described in any KEMPER document.

Current software has no function to reset the unit to as-delivered state. There is just a - again non-official - function to wipe out all data. That is probably what you performed.

The easiest way to recover all factory Rigs and presets is via Rig Manager. You find Factory Content 7 under Rigs and presets.

The button functions Looper Start and Stop, which are described in the manual, can be assigned to an external momentary dual switch for example the KEMPER 2-way switch. This could be plugged into one of the PEDAL sockets of the PROFILER. You just need to make sure, that you set polarity in line with the switch you use. Otherwise things could get screwed.

I was referring to your comment about routing "Routing is extremely important - many of the other editors have this feature and your Editor really needs this.". Isn't this related to signal routing?

Sending MIDI channel and receiving MIDI channel are two items that you normally set once globally per device. An editor is no win for that simple purpose.

You might refer to MIDI program changes. But those don't have to be assigned. If you want to load sounds via MIDI in correspondence with other devices, why don't you use Performance Mode which is designed for such applications. All 625 Slots in Performance Mode have their MIDI bank (LSB) and progam change already preassigned. You place the Rigs in the Slots vie editor, done.

Regarding routing …. the PROFILER allows to select the Input Source as well as Output Sources globally and effect loops can be set up by Rig and switched on/off. What else? Parallel Path can be activated by Rig. DLY+REV Routing can be set by Rig. All these parameters can be controlled via Rig Manager 3. If you should be missing something, it's probably not an editor limitation.
