Open KEMPER Download Page, select Rig Packs, download KEMPER Reverb Presets, instructions how to import included in that package.

BUT, these are just the presets. The reverb algorithms itself are included in OS 5.7.0 public beta. If you are running elder OS, you need to upgrade.

Locking doesn't work in combination with an assigned Remote Effect Button, if this Effect Button has more than one assignment.

The reason is, that this could lead to a lot of strange scenarios and logical conflicts. An Effect Button can have up to four assignments. What if some of those assigned effect modules are locked while others are not and you move to the next Rig. In this new Rig other effects could show up which could also be assigned to this very same Effect Button. What if two out of four assignments were freed up and three new assignments come up with the new Rig? Which assignment should be skipped? Does mixing these assignments even make sense? We have been trying to stay away from this rat hole.

There is a video on Youtube provided by Mission Engineering, which explains the EP-1 KP set up step by step. We offer also our set of Video Tutorials in addition to the manuals. And your configuration seems ok, since you realized that two cables are required as this Mission model includes both pedal plus switch.

If you press the toe switch, does Stomp A get activated/deactivated or not? Perhaps the switch is broken. You can check by pulling the TS cable out and short cutting the contacts between tip and sleeve with a paper clip. Does Stomp A switch on/off now?

What if you manually activate Stomp A with that Wah effect included, does the pedal now stop controlling volume and start controlling Wah instead as intended? And if you manually switch Stomp A off, does the pedal now act as a volume pedal again?

Make sure, your PROFILER is running current OS e. g. 5.5.2 release. In elder OS, volume control had to be picked up at the pedal's heel position, which might cause confusion.

The same line level signal that the MONITOR OUTPUT delivers is also feeding the built-in power amp internally. All settings affecting the MONITOR OUTPUT like Output Source, Monitor Output Volume, Monitor Cab. Off, Monitor Output EQ will automatically affect the internal power amp and therefor the SPEAKER OUTPUT, too.

You could set the Source of the MONITOR OUTPUT to "Master Left" and use the DIRECT OUTPUT to feed you powered line6 cab with Output Source set to "Master Right". Leave Monitor Cab. Off activated. It's a crotch as the characters of the two cabinets are different.

You cannot use the feature Monitor Stereo, which also pairs the MONITOR OUTPUT and the DIRECT OUTPUT to a stereo output, but in that case the setting of Monitor Cab. Off would affect both.

The simple explanation is: the revision of the operating system on the USB memory stick is already installed on your PROFILER. In that case no window will pop up suggesting an update.

Check, if you USB memory stick is recognized by the PROFILER. Does "External Storage" or "USB Stick" show up on the display under soft button 3, when the USB stick is plugged in? Perhaps it had not been unmounted safely and its file system is a corrupted.

This is a new new pack including 9 Rigs provided by Masahiro Aoki.

Masahiro Aoki, founder of ViViX Inc. has been gathering talented young guitar players to electrify the Asian guitar scene. ViViX has been selling modern and versatile Rigs to help young guitarists understand what properly mic’ed guitar tones should sound like. The tone of these PROFILEs can be heard in Masahiro’s work on the Street Fighter V soundtrack, and now KEMPER PROFILER users have the chance to experience his high quality ViViX Rigs for themselves.

Are you aware, that you have Space in the Output Section, too? It doesn't need to occupy an effect module.

... and while you edit Slots within a Performance don't navigate to other Slots via Remote. This would withdraw your edits. While you edit navigate via RIG navigation cross on front panel only OR store the Performance before moving to another Slot.

The new preset handling is basically an integrated screen for effect category, effect type, and effect preset selection in the PROFILER user interface plus the capability to manage all kinds of presets (input presets, amplifier presets, cabinet presets, stack presets, effect presets , output presets) in Rig Manager.

There are no plans to establish any folders and subfolders in the PROFILER Rig pool. We don't recommend to use the PROFILER as a sound collection machine. This is the domain of Rig Manager. If you focus the PROFILER Rig pool to those sounds you really use for your day to day playing, we don't see a need for Rig folders in the PROFILER UI.

Can anyone from Kemper say a few words about the new Acoustic SIM?This would be very helpful to let me "calm down" a bit as long as I will wait patiently untill I can try it.

It is not about profiling thus is it about selecting several types of acoustic guitar models to tweak them? Some more Infos would be nice. Will there be other acoustic stuff like dobro/sitar style type of things?

    Thanks in advance..

The Acoustic Guitar Simulation is for use with electrical guitars. So, it makes your electrical guitar sound like an acoustic guitar.

The same applies in Performance Mode and you don't even need to assign MIDI program changes as these are pre-assigned and fixed in Performance Mode. For example Performance 3 Slot 4 is always MIDI program change #14 regardless which Rig you put in. You could have two backups with just different Rigs in the relevant Slots.

A more sophisticated approach is the following:

Performance Mode offers 625 Slots which are exceeding the range of 128 program changes. Therefor it is split into various MIDI banks. A fully qualified address of any Slot is a combination of MIDI bank select (LSB) plus a MIDI program change. As long as you just send a MIDI program change, the PROFILER loads with the same MIDI bank. So you could organize up to five sets in different MIDI banks:

    bank 1: Performance 1 Slot1 - Performance 26 Slot 3

    bank 2: Performance 26 Slot 4 - Performance 52 Slot 1

    bank 3: Performance 52 Slot 2 - Performance 77 Slot 4

    bank 4: Performance 77 Slot 5 - Performance 103 Slot 2

    bank 5: Performance 103 Slot 3 - Performance 128 Slot 5

Then during the break you just manually dial to any Performance within the bank for the next set. Your foot controller sending MIDI program changes will then load those Slots in that other MIDI bank. It cannot leave that MIDI bank as it isn't capable of sending MIDI bank select.

Yes, the scale of the Spring Reverb's Mix control has changed compared to 5.6.2 and requires readjustment.

Check out the latest 5.7.0.14099 Public Beta, which fixes a couple of issues.

Sorry, but the old reverb presets were dedicated to the REV module and not compatible with the new flexible structure. If those were/are important to you, you have probably used those in your Rigs and could create new presets from those. You just need to open the module, press STORE, and assign a name. It's probably an excellent opportunity, to check if you can raise these presets to a new level by leveraging one of the new reverb types.

Here is our Sunday beta with a couple of fixes:

    User Interface

fixed: instant access knobs for Reverb Time and Reverb Mix dysfunctional
    fixed: REV module button dysfunctional
changed: Scaling of the Mix control in Spring Reverb has changed compared to 5.6.2. If you had created Rigs or presets including Spring Reverb under 5.6.2, please readjust Mix.

When locking an effect you should check first that it is volume neutral - no volume difference between on and off. Most effects offer a volume control for that purpose. Otherwise it's hard to predict and manage its impact in context of other Rigs. In some Rigs the locked effect for example in module B might overwrite another effect stored in module B of that Rig and that might have another volume impact. A locked Rig Volume would also level the volume of your lead sounds or you need to manage those via Amp Volume or other volumes. The most logical approach would be to adjust output volumes as these are global by nature. If you locked effect increases the volume a bit, turn down Master Volume by that amount. Make sure the relevant outputs are linked to Master Volume.

So I just updated the OS and some of the Spring and Natural Reverbs some just awesome, but most of the preset reverbs that came with it sound awful. Am I doing something wrong? I placed the reverbs before the amp stack as recommended, but it still sounds awful on most rigs. There are some melodic harmonies and chromatic harmony effects that (at least to me) are brand new and sound fabulous. Are they truly new? Are others finding some REV presets sounding awful or is it just me? Or is it rig dependent?

Either way - thank you Kemper team for your awesome FREE updating support, what a rarity in this market!

The REV module is still the preferred place for reverb effects. Spring Reverb is an exception: for an authentic reproduction of an analog spring reverb, that one should be placed pre stack.
