Dual Profiles... and switchable S/PDIF-loop!!!

I hardly see it as a "neat" solution. You would always end up with a "cab" which sounds like "a pre + a poweramp + a cab + a mic", or a poweramp sounding like "a pre + a poweramp + a cab + a mic", or whatever combination (DI, etc) you use.
Of course, you would always be rwady to profile the whole signal chain. It is just that different users have different needs.

MadH,
I absolutely agree. The KPA is a great unit. However, if you want to improve the convent you would need to be able to profile the sections separately with the cab being one of these sections.
Personally, I do Preamp profiles all the time to use the KPA with a power amp and a 4x12" cab.
It works fine a lot of times. In other situations (often Clean sounds) it won't work. But the "cab" that isn't there is always created in that scenario. And it does something soundwise. Why not expand the Profiling section in a future version and select what we do:
Mic'ed Amp, Preamp, Poweramp, Cab only -

and i would also love see the S/PDIF IO being ready to be used as a second independent loop with the same features. I could insert my Lexicon unit here.

I would love to see the possibility to run dual profiles.
left/right
or stacked w or w/o crossover -
I believe, the refining process could be done automatically. It would just require an internal audio-file that has all the nescessary details to improve the profile. I am finding myself playing the same chords after every profile.

What about a general cross-over that allows to split the signal path in two parallel. Not exactly the same as the multiband distortion but fine for other FX, too.

+1, if you had a input level meter, you had a reference for the profile's volume.
Normalization would still be good. -
Possible parallel FX routings, crossover section, Tap/Tempo related modulations (Slicer etc...)

Absolutely! It's too heavy-handed, too twangy and sounds more like a HM-2 than a good transparent Screamer like a Maxon.
I was informed that the "Noon" position for the Tone in the Green Scramer is "minus 2,5". It sounds better to me now!

Otherwise we will all have to sell our KPA......to get the KPA II
I forsee the KPA Pro where you put a recording to your USB stick and bang, here's your sound.

Whoever has one, do some profiles.

Not sure, but will a convolution reverb not need some RAM and possibly processing cycles that will introduce latency. Do you really need convolution inside the unit. Almost every DAW has a convolution reverb.

+1 for the Editor. Not only arranging and renaming rigs but also to set tags. I have been too lazy so far. Setting names in the KPA is definitely ok for such a machine, however when you are used to a keyboard ...
Another thing: Make the editor not only stand-alone but a plugin. This way, any DAW-project will keep track about the right sounds automatically. It doesn't need to stream sound in and out like the TI plug at all.

I believe, the display can be the right spot to place input and out level meters.
