When you save your presets you can put a number before as first places of the name according to the midi number to call it up. Like 001,002,003
That way you can control if your midi connection works and you can find presets fast and easy at the end of the range of stored rigs.
You can store different versions for every place like 001a, 001b, 001c.
Sounds simple and obvisious for some...but -don't laugh- I didn't see it at once. -
This is what I read in the display since 5mins. My KPA crashes very often, b.t.w. but it booted by itself everytime...Is there any way, to initialize from this point? Or do I have to send it back...? It´s not even a week at my place...
Cheers for your help,
NF
Had the same problem and got rid of it.
I made a fault when I put files in the folders of the usb stick. I had some cab files in the download folder of my PC (Win7) that already had been copied to the cab folder of USB stick and had been installed days before.
Yesterday when I copied the files of my download folder from the PC to the stick, I took them once again and copied them to the rig folder of the usb.
This caused the assertion failed message and the system crashed and needed a reboot. Assertion came again every time I tried to browse over the wrong rigs.
I don't know wheter it was wrong that the files been double now or that cab files been stored in the wrong rig folder.
Solved like this: Made a restore from a backup that I had made to my stick when I got the KPA new.
(Made many tries and searched for the trick, wich now you don't need to repeat )
Then I deleted the wrong cab/rig-files and importet everything else again.
System stable again!
Maybe your problem is of the same kind.
Good luck!
