It happens with new profiles only.
A few seem to go wrong in browse mode

I have profiles which sound wacky like if there was a tunnel reverb on them.
-
At 1600 euros i think it's too expensive.
I paid mine 1300 euros (B Stock) and i think it was the correct price.
I would probably buy another one if that would cost 1300 euros but not at 1600.It's crisis here and a buck is a buck.
Do you think that it's too expensive and that Kemper lose sales? -
Yep, i will upload the profile but with another cab. I will not share the cab.

After more testing i like the 2.6 version.
It's more easy to profile i never have to retry. I was not using refining in the past because i found that it compress the sound and exhibits nasty frequencies.
Now i do refine and it works well, i think as it should be.Ck said that profiles are purer that's my feeling too.

Agreed. A bigger difference can be heard when turning it on/off with some rigs than others, and the speakers used to listen will also affect the differences.
I will make a record. -
I've been back and forth between 2.5 and 2.6 this morning and 2.6 is ok for me.
(lfc button still doesn't work at all with old rigs, it seems always on) -
Quick question.
Do profiles made with firmware < 2.6 will sound as good as this made with firmware >= 2.6?
They seems to be modified by the way the lfc doesn't work here, on or off with old rigs changes nothing.Cleans sound better IMO with 2.6.

With just cabs of good profiles you can do a lot.
Milla is based in germany. Are you Milla?

Here is a small test with my JMP thru a chinese ribbon microphone :
http://www.dropbox.com/s/1q6cj…ud2/comparaison.flac?dl=0The room's reverb always makes sound more clearer so there is a difference but IMO the profile is still too much muddy with 2.6.
Profile is first.

For me yes, it's the same and i listened the samples with good monitors and the volume turned up a lot.
Not for me, the sound of the real amp has still more bass probably due to the room. -
Read the document coming with the update. In fact, they reduced the lows below 60 Hz and not increased it and you can switch off this correction.
As always, a reamped clip will help you to know if you are right.
I know for the lfc that's what surprised me, less low end but muddy middle now (with old profiles) though i've not made reamp tests.(just by ear so i can be wrong)I've made tests with the new profile algorythm this morning, comparing profile record to the mic record but it's difficult due to the reverb of my music room.
By the way do you find that 2.6 = reference amp on this example, because here they all 3 sound different, probably always due to the room reverb for the reference amp record. (same issue here for me when i try to compare)

Thanks for this test.
This test exactly reflects the change that we have applied to the profiling.
We did not really "tweak" the profiling algorithm, instead we simply took away an internal parameter, that was a bit "tweaked too much" at first place. The profiling is "purer" now.
That's for the new profiling algorythm.
How was made the low frequency correction? I found all my profiles sounding quite muddy with 2.6. -
I must be deaf because they all 3 sound different here, of course 2.6 has more low end.

Not to forget: it's still a beta, so bugs will probably appear.
I noticed that very often in the first days of a new FW-beta-release everybody is very enthusiastic about it. After a while some users will find the first bugs and often will get back to the last official FW.
I'm not so sure about the enthusiasm for the 2.6 beta and I never had any troubles with low frequencies before. For me the most important thing is that the profile will get as close as possible to the real amp, changing lows and mids while profiling and discoloring the original sound is actually the opposite.
I'm careful and I will stay with 2.5 until the official 2.6-FW will be released and the problems/bugs will be solved.
Wise comment.
At a first listening I though there was more than a low end correction. -
Woww you're a machine.
Thanks for all.(of them) -
Let's try :
1st Kemper
2nd real amp
