Many thanks Deny. I'll post back here if/when I get one.

Great, I'll look into it. Thanks.

Mine's an active CLR. Does this mean there's no way of me using this? Would a Banshee work instead?

Thanks Paul. Mine is a Supertalker. It has a bypass switch and two jacks, one labelled "speaker" and one labelled "amp". Presumably the speaker goes to the Kemper speaker out, but where should the "amp" be connected? Should this jack connect directly to my CLR?

One of my all time favourite guitar FX is the Talk Box. (The real thing, not a vocoder, wah, formant filter or similar.) I bought one nine years ago but never had the chance to use it so it remained in storage. Now I am finally in a band where I have the opportunity to break it out only to discover that since I am now using an Axe-FX with an FRFR setup, I am unable to rig this thing, since it needs a stand-alone power amp, and it isn't worth me changing my entire rig just to use this one effect.
So my question is, would it be possible to route a talk-box to the speaker output on a Kemper Power Rack, and the line outs to my usual monitor? Anyone already using a talk-box with a Kemper? If so, please describe your setup.

This model costed about £2600 in Europe last time I looked. I'd say they'd be getting a bargain.

Interesting. I've definitely read comments elsewhere (not on this site) from some users describing noticeable latency with the FCB controller. Personally, I would hope to continue using my MFC-101 controller, at least initially. Anyone here also using this?

Having played with a mate's Kemper, I'm pretty keen to get one and potentially make the switch from my Axe-FX II. However, since I need the device mainly for live playing I am concerned about the switching latency many users have experienced with their MIDI controllers. This is a deal breaker for me. Not only is this issue virtually non-existent with the Axe-FX, I actually circumvent patch-switching problems entirely by using an expression pedal to pan between two different amp sounds when required. This means zero dropout and I don't have to worry about my clumsy feet hitting the wrong buttons or mis-timing the switchover. Neither of these solutions seem to be available to the Kemper user.
Is there any talk from the developers about reducing the amount of switching latency between rigs?

All I can tell is my own experience:
When I sold my Axe 2 the MFC had to go shortly after.
This is because I wanted the change from Axe's control all- be all to Kemper's more pragmatic WYSIWIG approach.
What did you get instead? -
I am after a black Kemper Power Rack in the UK. I can only offer a trade for my Ibanez J-Custom RG8470Z BX which is in near new condition, has hardly been played and has been stored in its Ibanez hard case in a smoke-free home. (Pictures available upon request.)
Please let me know if you're interested.

Is anyone out there using the FAS MFC-101 with their Kemper? I am considering hopping ship and relegating my Axe-FX II to routing and FX duties but I would prefer to retain as much control of my live sound as possible. Is it worth keeping my MFC given the Kemper's limitations on expression pedal control, or should I get an alternative controller with a smaller footprint?

Thanks. I did try a search but no results came up.

Hi; Axe-FX user here. I've been thinking of getting a Kemper (primarily for amp sounds). I don't want to lose the flexibility of the Fractal, and until the Kemper proves itself equally capable on the FX front, I would probably want to continue using the Fractal for FX. I wonder whether there are any Kemper users here who also use both. How do you hook up and route the units, and have you found that the Axe was worth hanging onto? My cab is an Atomic CLR FRFR. I am principally interested in live performance setups but I also do some home recording.
Thanks.

Another vote here for:
Pitch Shifter
Whammy (controllable via expression pedal)
Intelligent HarmonizerAs it stands, I could not get through one of my shows with the Kemper alone, as I'm frequently using at least one of these FX in a song somewhere.

No, cab sim on, it sounds terrible with cab sim off
Better solution than the RCF in your opinion?
-
It get's near, without sounding hi-fi. It has his own signature but in a good way. Is like playing with amp and cab with the cab being a lot more flexible then a guitar cab will ever be. Is warm and full and pushy...
So you prefer the Camper with the cab sims off rather than on?
-
With the Camper you get to leave the Cab on and still have an Amp-like sound instead of a PA sound.
Does it reproduce the sound of the different cab sims with as much accuracy as a PA cab?
-
I have a H&K Red Box, but this can only be attached to one speaker. I suppose if I had two...?

You can have monitor out in stereo no problem, but not with the cabdriver feature then. This can only be had in mono.
How do I route a stereo output to my backline, since the Monitor Output is mono?
