    3 Channels - channel 1 Clean / channel 3 vintage / channel 4 modern. Gain at 11 o'clock for clean, 2 o'clock for vintage and 3 o'clock for modern. Recorded with a SM57 slightly off-axis. PRS custom 24 for the refining.

    This is my first attempt at profiling, but I'm reasonably happy with the results to the extent that, if I can get the Kemper stable with no crashes, I'll be leaving the amp at home when I tour! :D

  • Wah wah tone

    Thanks very much for that - I suppose I should have finished reading the manual :)


    I'll use the G as a controller and see how it pans out. This other controller (ART x-15) has crashed my KPA 5 times!

  • "assertion failed"

    Anyone here getting "assertion failed" message when using a footswitch?


    Every now and again when I switch patches, I get this error and have to reboot. Random patch numbers - it happens on different patches and only intermittently.

  • Wah wah tone

    Anyone have recommendations for optimal wah wah settings (for use with an external pedal)? I've set up one for my driven solo sounds and one for clean, funk-style rhythm. The controls are not what I'm used to from the G-sys or other Fx units, though. I'm using a boss FV-500H straight into the KPA as exp pedal.


    To give you an idea, I love the Fulltone Clyde sound, but hate the bad horsie sound. Quite like the Cry Baby too.


    Any advice appreciated.


    On another point - anyone know how performance mode update is coming on? I'd love to get control of the individual stomp FX onstage - would eliminate me saving ten versions of one sound!

  • Solved - Midi Problem

    Ditto - thanks Bluesfan! One of my patches wouldn't switch after crashing with Art X-15 switching patches. One patch name had consecutive blanks. Fixed that and all working great now. Cheers!

  • Noob questions

    I'd like to use this thing for touring as soon as possible, so here are my Noob questions:


    1) What is the latest stable update and where do I get it? The one on the /start/ page is listed as 6900.


    2) Does anyone know what the expected lead time is for us to get perform mode enabled?


    3) Best foot controller for the KPA? I'm liking the look of Fractal's MFC
