I could be wrong but I always believed that Michael Wagener used this technique on Extreme's Pornografitti album. With great results btw.

And we used those speakers as thats what was in the cab when we got it..:)

Just a suggestion. If you still have the Legacy you might want to take some profiles through a V30s loaded cab. Most if not all people interested in this amp (such as myself) will be Vai fans and would like it to have it profiled as close as possible to the original Vai setup.

Thanks.. - and this is a global discount for everyone, and anyone to celebrate the new launch. - loyal customers will get something through soon thats additional to this.

Sorry but I just want to make sure I understood correctly. Should loyal customers use this discount code as well or wait until we receive what you are referring to as additional?

I also have one question about the Carvin Legacy. I believe Vai uses his with V30 speakers. What lead you to use Gh25s instead?

CK, thanks for all that information. It has to be really hard to do not answer when a competitor saying those things in many different forums about your product.

I don't think I would be able to handle it as patiently as you do. I understand that everybody is entitled to their own opinion but this is not it. This is very serious. Based on what you just said those seem to be lies and wrong assumptions presented as facts. You can kind of laugh at it now because you are in the position of being a reputable and known company already but this kind of things could have been really harmful if you were a startup company.

I rechecked it today after reading your post and it seems that you are right. It can be that it only affects the output level. It seems to affect sounds which are more than what I would call slightly distorted though. I guess that was not expected since the manual says that “Clean Sense” determines the volume of clean sounds. It is true that the more distorted they are the less it seems to affect but maybe it would be a good idea to mention this in the manual since for most people clean means no distortion at all.

For anybody who noticed the differences and wants to tests what CK says, you can lower the volume of your guitar right until you get a completely clean sound on your distorted rig, then play with the clean sense to the max and to the min and you will notice that the sound is still clean (at least on my end) in both cases, which means that at least the gain is not affected by the clean sense settings.

Clean sense is supposed to only alter the loudness on clean profiles and its purpose is so we can match the distorted profiles level. It should not have any effect on distorted profiles. CK has assured that several times on the forum. Do you really notice a difference on distorted profiles? I have not tried this myself.

I have to say what has been posted there is a myth.
Both controls domnot colour the sound.
Clean Sense has no impact on distorted sounds.
Distortion Sense is the same as readjusting the Gain knob.
Please tell that to everybody :)

1000 is ridiculous and time consuming. Do you really want to be a digital amp collector?

Reminds me of my neice who has so much downloaded music just becuase she can. Never listens to 99% of it, but she has it.

I do not agree. It all depends on how you use it. In my case I would prefer if there was no restriction except for the one given by the storage capacity on the unit. Then it would be up to the user to decide how they want to use it. I have been using my KPA as an amp library (usually ordered by amp type) that I could carry anywhere with no need of a computer or external storage device to handle it.

In my opinion the unrestricted number of rigs, combined with the favorites feature, snapshots and browser filters (like order by) was simply perfect.

I recommend you tidy up a bit.
You can still have all the not so immediately needed profiles on your PC, should you ever need them.
It would be a pity if you miss out on the good things to come... ;)

Yes, That's what I plan to do while I wait for the next release. No other choice I guess. I don't want to miss the pitch shifter you are currently testing for 1.8 beta. ;)

I will wait for the next version this time. One of the things I got used to and I loved about the KPA is that apparently I could store as many rigs as I wanted so pretty much I was using it like a library of amps that I could carry with me anywhere without the need for a computer or external storage device. Too bad this will not be the case anymore.

Paranormal Activity 1) While playing on stage, the Kemper (running the latest firmware) has decided to turn the master volume all the way down whenever it feels like it. I can turn it back up to the same level and get nothing, but upon turning it up and down really fast, it remembers it's job. I caught it doing it this morning and actually witness the master volume display work it's way down pretty quick.

This happened to me a couple of days ago but it has only happened once. I was playing and suddenly silence. I thought it was a problem with my speaker at first because I rebooted the KPA and still no sound. Then after moving up and down the Master on the KPA it worked again. I believe Armin reported a similar issue in the past. I am still on 1.6 beta but I don't remember reading anything on the latest firmware releases notes about this.

I know your pride is damaged because nobody else could hear differences in your "samples." Perhaps you are the one person on earth with magic (flawed) ears, but that doesn't mean you have to be such a nuisance in this thread. Your sheep comment is ridiculous and reeks of desperation. Just move along.

Thanks for your kind comments. If you really believe everything you are saying then you should read the thread again.

Btw, I was not the one that created the thread, I was not the only one hearing things and I certainly was not the one who brought it back after 3 months of inactivity to prove my point, take pride or lecture anybody. If you are going to take your time to attack me please be a bit more fair at least. My big mistake has been to use my own time on this when I had nothing to gain and pretty much knew what the result was going to be.

My sheep herd comment was just a joke in reference to the swarm intelligence term CK used to qualify our behavior "There is a number of swarms in the world of humans and animals known to have failed.".
