Releasing a Rack Mount Kit for THE TRUE VINTAGE KPA would be a cool idea anyway...
-
Great idea! Will try it out!
-
I find it quite funny that speculations are becoming a fact in this whole thread (change of sound because of aliasing filters etc.). Maybe you all calm down and wait until somebody from kemper chimes in. Play some guitar in the meanwhile?
-
I don't really know where all this tone matching craze is coming from. I find it boring and really don't need it AT ALL in the KPA.
-
Can't say for sure (since I really don't remember if I might have retweaked the rig I tested with slightly) but to me it seems like the new firmware is slightly more scooped and has slightly less presence...mmhhhh...would be cool to know more....
-
Slightly more sheen and presence on the first one - but it sounds definitely better to me....I'll check it as soon as my kids are going to bed as well...
-
I haven't done any scientific tests with the new firmware (and didn't feel the need to do so) - the only change I noticed is the now perfect Green Scream which changed alot of my Rigs by far to the better. Honestly, it might be you hear the grass growing...? I'll give it a quick test tonight with some previous recordings of Firmware 1.5...
-
The new Green Scream is AMAZING. Same depth, tonality and saturation like the hardware. It just feels very liquid...everything I missed from the previous version!
-
The new Green Scream in FW 1.6 is perfect now! Great job from the Kemper team! Much smoother, better saturation and more play on the tone parameter and the low end is much better! Loving it!
-
Sounds killer! I'll check it out later....

+1000
I thought about something like this as well and it could be technincally possible. This would be a SUPERB GREAT feature and would be the icing on the cake of the Kemper imho! -
Well, I think at least the delay would be real cool to have available at the SPDIF out in addition to the Guit DI....
-
Yeah, I am using the MOD out right now - but it'd be nice as well to use the Kemper Delay and Verb summed to Mono as well - cause sometimes you'd want (at least myelf) to commit to a sound and not care about adding delay, verb later in the mix. It's not a big thing, but I really like to record leads for example with a little touch of delay and verb and call the lead sound done....
-
Yeah, of course I know that - pretty obvious. But there's no option for having the complete Mono Out summed on R and Guit DI on L - that's why I ask....
-
Maybe I am stupid and this option is available already and I just can't find it. But it would be really important to me to have the SPDIF L signal carry the pure Guitar signal for later reamping and the SPDIF R Signal carry a mono sum of the Stereo Output including everything from the Effects section.

Is this Cyber Schizophrenia or what?
-
No offense there, but I had to giggle quite a bit when I saw this - don't you think these EQ Settings are a little extreme? Boosting 12 db at several EQ points? Besides the accuracy of the amp section is totally amp/profile dependend...
-
On the Kemper I prefer to use the Graphic EQ Peda with an inverted smiley curve ^ centered around 1K since I still got my issues with the inbuilt TS. Works very nicely....

To each their own...Im not a great fan of new metal (the kind that they shout all the way through)...some are..but they are morons also. Im not so sure my point was such a good one there - you get the point though. one persons needs are different from another.
I get your point but what do I have to do with New Metal?
To me the KPA is a guitar amp ( a little more as well I admit) - never needed a Editor for any of my Tube Guitar Amps either. The knobs are all there - touch them...I use the the KPA in the studio, live and at home for composing - never, ever thought about needing an editor. Maybe I am to old school (well, I got a KPA, so probably not)....?
