My KPA is locked up again after I imported and edited some rigs...... Which FW are you talking about? I tried to reboot as you said (I'm on FW 7014) but that doesn't work. KPA freezes on start up screen. Do you have more recent FW?

That's a TC Helicon Voicelive 2. I use it for adding delays and other effects on vocals. I also use it for adding harmony vocals. The voicelive gets my guitarsignal and can detect chords (and major/minor) so it can add the right second and third harmony vocals. Very cool for making harmony choirs on chorus in a song! :)

@ Armin: 2 K12's sounds realy good! Saturday I had my first live performance with KPA > 2 K12 and it was the best sound I've ever had on stage! See my post at "first gig with KPA and K12"........

Yesterday I had the first gig with my band Mangrove at the Boerderij, Zoetermeer (Netherlands). I am the singer/guitarplayer. There was no time for a soundcheck because the band that played before us were making dvd recordings. When they left the stage there were already 2 FOH monitors for me. I used this for monitoring keyboards and my own vocals. On my left and right I have put 2 QSC K12's and these were connected with the jack stereo outs. The XLR outs went to the FOH. I used 5 presets for my strat and 5 for my Roland guitar. Sounds are based on HK duotone profiles and Tylers Marshal 19602 mic 2 cabs. I had the best sound on stage ever. I like this way better then a 4x12 cab behind me. For me it's really soundheaven! I'm in the middle of beautiful guitar sound and with effects on it's breathtaking (stereo delays, reverbs, airchorus etc...). The point is that at larger stages with real amps my amp stands 6-8 meters away. FOH engineers always ask not to play too loud because then there's coming too much guitar sound from the stage into the venue. But then I can't hear my guitar so I get the sound from my amps through the monitor! For me the set up with the KPA work much better, better sound and more sounds. I was already convinced of the KPA sound at home and rehearsal room. Now I know it works perfect for me on stage. After the gig I asked the FOH engineer about my sound. I've worked with him several times. He told me the FOH guitar sound was very good and easy to work with. No leakage from other mics (bass, drums!!!) so he received a very clean sound. He said he couldn't hear that the guitar sound was "digital" and it sounded more like a real amp than a lot of amps he used to mike that sounded thin or shrill on FOH. I know enough :)

I use 1.02 beta. Thanks for describing the boot procedure and your advice. Before playing tomorrownight I wil switch the KPA on/off many times to see if everything goes well......

2 hours ago my Kemper crashed. Tried to reboot it holding system (and system and quick) but it won't start up anymore. I think everytime I edit rigs by changing amps, adding effects etc. the Kemper becomes instable. I have rebooted it several times after editting. That's annoying because tomorrow I want to use it the first time on stage. So I followed Armin's reboot procedure and that seems to work. I imported only the rigs I will use tomorrow. I'll take my VG 88 for back up. I use the newest FW but I hope there will soon be a new FW that solves all this problems! It doesn't feel good and that's a shame given the very good sounds that come from the Kemper......

2 QSC K12. 1 K12 sounds good but with 2 K12's you get the pressure of a 4 x 12 cabinet. I just came back from rehearsel and for the first time using two K12's in the rehearsel room. Volume K12's halfway and Kemper mastervolume 3 db under max. For me it feels and plays like a real tube amp + cabinet but with stereo effects! Very convincing en beautiful to hear the effects in stereo. Saturday my first gig with the Kemper and I take my 2 K12's with me.

And the same here and something else! I'm programming my Behringer FCB 1010 for midi control. Everything goes fine but when I switch between two presets something weird happens. I use bank 5 for my strat settings. FCB has the uno chip so I am using footswitches 6-10 in stompbox mode. Bank 5 preset 1 I have a clean amp sound with gain zero. Bank 5 preset 5 I have another clean sound, another amp/cab and effects. When I switch from preset 5 to 1 (all in bank 5) preset 1 suddenly has max gain. When switching from preset 2,3,4 to 1 then the gain is as it should be: zero. When switching from 1 to 5 the gain for preset 5 is zero as expected. So only switching from 5 to 1 causes the gain to go max while it is stored with gain zero! Very strange. I checked all the settings on the FCB and I can see nothing strange there (I use a PC editor so I can easily check the settings). Anyone recognises this or even better has a solution?

Nice to read this all. When using 2 monitors (in my case 2K12) IMHO you can get the same air moving as with a 4 x 12 cab. I will gig next saturday with the Kemper at a large venue. I will try my favourite rigs with Till's cabs before that.....

Back home from the first band rehearsel with the KPA. I'm very satisfied! While playing I adjusted some volume and effect settings en cut off the bass a little and the KPA sounded very good. We have a very good sounding HK audio PA and I can imaging how the KPA will sound at our next gig. I will make some fine adjustments at home and next thursday is the last rehearsel before our gig next week saturday. I can make some final adjustments then if necessary. I'm looking forward to it.

First week with the Kemper I only played my strat. There were some amps & cabs I didn't like with the strat. Yesterday I took my Roland guitar (2 humbuckers) and I liked almost all the cabs I didn't like with the strat. I've read posts where people say they don't like profiles provided by users and they delete them. I say give these profiles a second chance and try them with humbuckers if single coil doesn't sound good and vice versa of course. It can make a lot of difference. Have fun!
