It would have been mind blowing 5 years ago. But it isn't where the market is right now.
We didn't have a 'you guys developed the wrong product / added the wrong feature' post for a while

the Player is promoted as a compact way of bringing your profiles on the road
and it does - at the core of the PROFILER range is and always has been it's amp + cabinet + mic sound. That is per definition what a PROFILE is.
The Profiler Player gives you the exact sound of the more higher end models in a smaller package.
Compromises were made in the fx department and the ability to create PROFILEs was lost (as was requested by users asking for a smaller, non-Profiling unit pretty much since day one )
I tried to connect the VAP11G-300 to the KPA head (no remote) (after having setup the WiFi to my router). I can connect my Android phone to the VAP11G, but the Android Rig Manager app can't find the KPA. I also tried to add a switch/hub to no avail. Am I missing somenthing?

They are noted in amp Comment! The question is: which actual amp model is better to apply if channels are Linked? Bright or normal ?
good question.
Display MoreHi,
Spending some time lately in profiling all my amps.
This time I took my '71 Marshall Superlead.
I profiled the amp with different gain settings. Also profiled the amp in combination of some pedals (Mad professor Underdrive, Klon KTR, Fulltone OCD and J Rockett Rockaway Archer).
Hope you have fun with these profiles.
It's time to edit all my band-presets to use my own profiles instead of the commercial ones I bought.
Which are actually very good.
Do you still know the settings of the amp during profiling?
Could these be turned into Liquid Profiles?
was referring to the signal chain on the ftont of the Profiler
gotcha
Reverb and delays are by default after the amp.
not at all.
many classic delay sounds rely on the delay unit being in front of the amp.
virtually every Rockabilly slap echo sound.
EVH placed his Echoplex in front of the amp because there simply was no fx loop and achieved a certain extra push of the input section of his amp plus lovely compression of his dry and wet signals.
and there are countless recordings of amps with Fender spring reverb units (the stand-alone kind) in front of an amp - so try Spring Reverb into a cleanish Fender PROFILE for that tone.
popcorn machine
turns out, I planned my studio all wrong...
that's a pretty dull sound.
simply use the Hi Cut to kill enough of the high end to get there.
This ia not a amp -> cab -> mic sound, this is aggressive post amp EQ
I can’t recall a new product announcement that has generated as much comment and controversy as the KPP. I’m looking forward to receiving my on-order unit, and to continuing to follow the sturm und drang here and on the other forums I frequent!
Really?
The PROFILER Head, Rack and Stage all received more than their fair share of internet drama when they were announced.
4 fx should be enough to handle a jam or a small coffeehouse-gig.
For everything else..folks...use your KPA-HEAD and the remote and the 3-4 EPs..or the STAGE...
I regularly play considerably larger gigs than that with sounds that only have a subtle delay and a bit of reverb.
Bigger gigs doesn‘t mean you need bigger fx chains - at all
Display MoreNot sure it it's just me but I find the Chorus on the KPA very weak - there is very little depth and just doesn't do it for me - fine when you want a subtle amount but when I need a lot it just can't quite get there.
Any tips before I go and buy a separate chorus pedal?
Think along the lines of "Run to You" by Brian Adams and all that 80's stuff where chorus was heavily used.
Thanks
exactly where do you place the Chorus and what are your Outputs set to in the OUTPUT section?
quite often, the biggest factor in the wide sound created with different sound panned left and right is the actual double-tracking.
recording multiple takes of the same part is an art form, but if done correctly it'll create a bigger sound than any reamping or recording two amps simultaneously approach ever can.
are you sure it was the Rotary?
AFAIK the speeds were never adjusted.
Maybe the original used a Tremolo as a Panner effect?
Update: Acoustic panels are finally up! Verb and echo is almost Zero! The music is directed right at me now. It was a labor of love and PIA. I was hoping the centered color accents would complement the curtians and rugs instead of just a plain row of black. I will be using Sonarworks to calibrate everything. I still have much more decorating to do on the sides and back walls but that is coming for Xmas. I will also look into left and right bass traps.
just my personal opinion & experience:
Curtains often only have the effect of filtering a bit of high end and possibly one narrow band, so instead of somewhat clean reflections, you get muffled ones - not really an improvement
Choosing an EQ to adress issues in the time domain is kind of a band aid anyway, but after all the work you put into the absorbers it almost seems like an afterthought.
Bass traps will be a great improvement I'm sure.
threads merged since they were pretty much identical
edited the title for less drama
Late to the party but thank you so much for this. I have really missed my beloved Dunlop Rotovibe since migrating to the Kemper. This is really close. I never would have thought to attempt this with the Phaser.
The Univibe is indded a phaser, albeit one with a somewhat unique waveform.
Since the PROFILER migrates parameter settings where applicable, it might be interesting to recall this preset and then switch the type from 'Phaser' to 'Phaser Vibe',
The Wah stomp in the PROFILER is so flexible that it can easily replicate the Vox wah.
I've done quite a few 'real' Wah pedal to Wah stomp preset conversions, including a few Wahs I modded myself (range and resonance travel), even inductor swaps (Red Fasel and Whipple).
