No worries Timo, I've always had a personal hatred of questions marks for some reason anyway
where are you from.. I wish our profiles would say which country we are all from, it would be nice to know
I'm from Germany, part of the Kemper development team.
Timo
Please Timo... this is not one of those forums where you get sarcastic because of question marks and Grammar...
Sorry. I meant "question mark". Honestly, no offense, it is pretty hard to understand what people means if they don't follow grammar and syntax. Especially if one is not an english speaking native.
Timo
Are these questions since I can't see any quotation mark?
Amps and Cabs are embedded in the Rig. Deleting the Rig means loosing the content incl. the Amp and/or Cab.
You can store the Amps and Cabs separately as "Stack Preset" if you want just to keep that.

Timo
Any tips or is there no way but to return the rack to the KPA service ?
Please open a support ticket. Chances are good to fix this in with an update, a fix is currently under testing.
Timo
Please open a support ticket and attach the profiles that cause this. This is likely to be a bug that should be fixed.
Timo
PS: I've always known that somebody there must have been under dope to develop the profiler.....
actually it is a huge amount of caffeine...
Timo
, would the associated amps and cabs be gone as well?
Yes, theay are gone. The Amps/Cabs aren't associated, they are embedded in the Rig. If you want to keep them solely, you can store them as local presets ("Stack Preset"). In this case, you can dial them up again at any time.
Timo
Is this recent or has always been like that?
It came with 1.5.0. And yes, yet there are 10 items. Though, they are not persistent over a power cycle. We might add that at some point...
Timo
If I want the effect of one rig to be on another, say the exact settings of a Delay, I just choose the Delay, LOCK it, then go to the rig I want, then STORE it?
Yes. Or you go to the Delay, press [COPY], go to the other Rig and press [PASTE].
Timo
Just ordered a rack to keep my toaster company,it wont arrive till early April but i am wondering if i will be able to use my current USB stick with it? or are the USB sticks individually formated to a particular machine?
No, you can use it at all machines. You can even "clone" the toaster by creating a backup and restoring it to the rack.
Timo
When autoload is activated and the brows knob is turned a lot -> the Kemper crashed each time.
Specify "crash"?
Timo
No leds is a HUGE miss IMHO..do you know any unit where you can't see the pots positions ? I don't
The values will be shown in the LCD.
Timo
I've had the same problem too, my guess is that the KPA generates some sort of checksum for the backup file so tampering with it will invalidate that checksum and prevent the backup from being restored, correct me if I'm wrong anyone.
No, it doesn't. If you're manipulating the archive, make sure that you keep the directory structure intact and at the same level. Restore Factory Rigs and create a backup, then compare the structure of this and your other backup file.
Timo
Is there a way to remove all midi assignments that I have programmed into my KPA. Other than doing it one at a time?
Thanks!
- Power off the KPA
- Hold the [QUICK] button down and keep it pressed
- Turn the KPA on
- You can release the [QUICK] button when "Initializing MIDI list" appears on the display.
Timo
"Retina" describes the high resolution displays on newer Mac Books.

This means that the hardware clock does not advance in time. Usually this means that the C2032 battery on the front panel has been removed, was dropped or is empty. Without this, you will get in trouble when saving new rigs etc. Support will surely help you during business times.
Timo
You can just register with the serial number to get access to the private forum. The previous owner falls back to "just read" status.
Timo
you can use that:

An appropriate slot is on the left side of the back panel, as the previous poster points out.

Old stuff... Emagic RocketNet (I think) etc.
You can even DIY by using a VPN and AUNetSend/AUNetReceive.
It is more or less existing technology, but latency _will_ be there. It can only be corrected when playing to an third, common output the players don't hear (they only should hear the other musician and themselves).
