About 12 years ago, I played rhythm guitar on a track Michael did lead and over dubs on. He used a first gen POD. Point being, anything is possible. He and Lukather are old friends- Good chance he's at least tried a KPA.
Very excited to check these out! Thanks for posting.
More or less. My Tokai LS150 (on par with R8/R9 gibby) and Sheptone Bryan Kahanek PAF's.
Sounds awesome. As do your profiles.
Have you tried assigning the Kemper a midi channel other than omni? I've used channel 1 and 2 with great success using the GCP. Just make sure the GCP is sending on the same channel. Probably a no brainer but thought I'd throw what works for me out there just in case.
I realize I can just save the stomp on each patch but that's what I was hoping to not have to do. It's more of a lazy thing. Not a big deal. I would just prefer not to have to save it to each patch just to get it to bypass on a patch change if I had a choice. Looks like I don't
Sometimes I'm using a preset with delay and need to switch to another patch and my locked delay is still going so it's one more step to take to shut it off on my dry rhythm patch. It would be great if there was an option/preset on the lock feature to set the effect back to off upon patch change if that effect is bypassed on the saved patch. Basically just make the effects remain in the state they were in when the patch was last saved. Make sense?
A simple pitch shifter is much more important in my scenarios than the "Perform" mode or any other feature, because it would allow me to exchange my FX Pedal with a simple MIDI pedal.
I'm in the same boat. +1 for pitch shifter!
That's VERY helpful thank you.
I'm on 1.1.1 and am getting no sound from the monitor out. Main outs work fine, cables work fine. Any ideas? Is there a setting I can check that may have bypassed this feature?
This is a minor gripe but it would be great if the Kemper could remember the rig view setting. After powering down it defaults back to all rigs viewable. Would be nice if I select favouries if it stayed that way when I powered up the next time.
I thought I read somewheere that the read only profile idea was not worth it due to the fact that they couldn't make it any cheaper (or cheap enough).
Let us know if it does the trick for you.
DI profiles thru my Mosvalve power amp and 2X12 cab are quickly winning me over. Save the cab portion of a DI profile to get the meat back in the sound and try it with any of the regular mic'd profiles. Works really well on a lot of them.
I have found that if you disable the cab on any profile it will lack some punch. What I did that helped tremendously was I made a DI profile of my amp and then saved the "cab" portion of that profile making a DI cab essentially. I slapped that on any other profile I waned in place of a mic'd cab and it sounds a whole lot better.
Some of us have digital mixers for multi mic'ing cabs.......spdif for profiling would be nice.
Interesting that he had to turn to a graph to show how inferior product K is........I could care less what that chart says.
I was hoping some of you would be able to tell me your favorite DI profiles. Anyone care to share? It would be a big help.
I had a Mesa F-30 for a few years that was EL84 based. The gain channels were not my favorite but the clean tone was delicious.
Up on the exchange is a new profile I took of my trusty Budda Superive II in "modern mode" mic'd up with a Fathead ribbon mic in front an Orange 1x12 cab with a Scumback M75 greenback style speaker. Great for rock, pop, blues, etc. Hope you enjoy it.
