Single best guitar sound I've had period... thx
-
Have the same issue. I just look for the * symbol now. In the older firmware versions I didn't have this issue and it worked fine.

I couldn't comment on the SaffirePro, but one thing to note on the Babyface, is that the spdif is optical based and you would need some kind of box converter like an M-Audio Co2 to take it from optical to coaxil. This has been my experience, maybe others can chime in if they've found a better solution?
I came from an Mbox 2 Pro using spdif. I currently use the Babyface via analog into the Kemper. The Kemper sounds awesome through both. What I do notice is the playback clarity through my monitors and the lower latency times that I can record using the Babyface vs the Mbox 2 pro. The mic-pre's in the Babyface are way better too.
On a final note, I'm really happy with the Babyface. The sound quality is awesome, not to mention portability etc... Hope this helps a little, I'd be curios to know about the SaffirePro 24 as well. That's another unit that I looked at.

Same boat... I plan on getting the maudio converter box. Right now I'm going in the hi-z input and I must say it still sounds pretty darn good

Anyone know if these are newer versions or the same one's from Andy's paid bundles? Either way

Haha, that was cool! I'm getting ready to move so I'm cleaning out a lot of stuff and came across an old cd I had. It's Mitch's first CD which I picked up in the 90's when I was at Berklee.

I have to say that this is a great DAW. Very easy to use and intuitive. They also have a 30 day demo, but that wouldn't help with this deal

FWIW, the Metal Pack is almost done and sounds incredible. You guys are in for a treat!
Can't wait!

Nice work! Someone get the fire extinguisher! Haha
-
I vote both! But the Maxon would be on top for me.
-
Awesome! Can't wait to DL these and try them out Thanks for uploading!

Hey Sore, can you tell me more about that interface? How do you like it? I mainly use headphones at home due to noise etc... the integrated vrm sounds like it would be very helpful to mix with. Thoughts?

Hi Will, welcome! Myself coming from an 11r to the Kpa, was an expensive step, but the sound sure is worth it IMO. I figured I'd easily spend more on a decent tube setup.
-
That's awesome! Muse are one of my fav's There also was a video of them in the studio and a KPA could be seen in the background.

Thanks for the reply AndyI am using a Parker Fly (Stock pickups) and a Les Paul (With WCR Crossroads neck)
The profile sounds half decent with a strat or Tele though.
I will play around with it some more.
By the way the HiWatt is phenomenal!
Yeah I didn't care much for the TW profiles (no tweaking) with my Parker Fly either. It really goes to show how much of an impact the guitar and pickups can have on each amp profile. With that said, did you check out the VOX profiles with the Parker? wow -
Picked up pack 2. Had only a few minutes to literally scroll through (no adjusting) the profiles. So far pretty darn awesome! The one that caught me by surprise, which wasn't on my radar was the VOX... Holy cow! I had a really hard time scrolling past that one. The best VOX profile I have by far.
Oh and the Ziggy OD... wow, wasn't expecting it. I like it much more than the TS.

I haven't tried it yet with the Kemper to see if I could get close, but here is a vid that ChimpSpanner did with his POD HD. This vid might help get you on the way to creating the sound.
Pitch shift, compression, phaser, delay, reverb

Sounds really good! Please share which profile you used
