I remember getting some 3rd party early 70's Big Muffs that could be imported to work as pedals about 10 years ago....never saw any more of that since though

I use 'The Amp Factory' IIB profile for years as a crunch / lead sound.
I think I changed the CAB ( due to the usual ear fluctuations
)on it a few times but it works great for me. -
it is best to have both, one cannot replace the other.
the voicings used on each instrument make that obvious: on keys it's often an octave in the bass and the upper chord is structured in thirds (good luck fretting that on a guitar), while chords on a guitar (in standard tuning) rely mostly on fourths and fifths (the g-b pair of strings being the exception).
This is partially why piano played on guitar and guitar played on a keyboard will always sound off.
The interface influences the outcome quite audibly.I guess it depends what you want the midi interface for though.If its for live work to replace a layered keyboard then that would be difficult but for single note stuff and simple one position chord work it should be fine.

On a slightly unrelated point, I saw the Australian Pink Floyd last week and I think the bass player ( or possibly one of the guitarists) was using a Kemper.

I stuck a few profiles on the Rig Exchange many years ago. They're not great but might help.
I had a Cornish G2 at the tiume as well as aa 72 Hiwatt head,Alembic Preamp etc....
