I use 'The Amp Factory' IIB profile for years as a crunch / lead sound.
I think I changed the CAB ( due to the usual ear fluctuations )on it a few times but it works great for me.

it is best to have both, one cannot replace the other.
the voicings used on each instrument make that obvious: on keys it's often an octave in the bass and the upper chord is structured in thirds (good luck fretting that on a guitar), while chords on a guitar (in standard tuning) rely mostly on fourths and fifths (the g-b pair of strings being the exception).
This is partially why piano played on guitar and guitar played on a keyboard will always sound off.
The interface influences the outcome quite audibly.
I guess it depends what you want the midi interface for though. If its for live work to replace a layered keyboard then that would be difficult but for single note stuff and simple one position chord work it should be fine.
JamOrigin is your best bet I think
Welcome Markus.
I love the Tone Junkies stuff but have it all so nothing left to buy
I have 1 toaster/KPA for live use ( it lives in the boot of my car ) and 1 for home use (it lives besiude my pc & soundcard ).
I found it was a pain unhooking it (xlr's,spdif, usb etc...) and then setting it back up every time I had a gig.
I'm very grateful for the updates .....keep them coming please Kemper Team !!!!!
I had an issue once where the Kemper made a loud continuous noise because all of the ground lifts were engaged/pressed in.Maybe try them by adding them one by one and see if it happens ?
I think the genres kinda changed/evolved over the years but they're all related
I remember listening to rock stuff as a kid and thinking 'wow, these players are great' whereas now I'm fairly bored by a lot of them ( with some exceptions of course ).I think the overall 'technicity' of modern playing has,in the norm, become more difficult. You now need to have the ability to play super complex runs involving numerous techniques, dexterity, in changing metres, a good sound, good melody and feel as a minimum ( I struggle to have 1 or 2 of those at a time !!! ).
You also need to be capable of all of the above by the time you're 13.32 years old
Hard rock on the other hand (in my opinion) can probably still be learned by ear.
There are so so many talented young musicians out there today and its great to see
Everyone knows it's determined by the shape of your guitar headstock ........
Does it do the laser gun ???
4.30 on this clip
He has a Kemper for a good while I think. He said back in an interview 6 or 7 years ago that if he's doing a small gig locally he doesnt bring his whole rack and cab setup and just brings his Kemper.
Thats impressive !
2012 Model
The Amp Factory have profiles the head Gilmour used on DSOTM so thats worth checking out as a base profile before adding a stomp in front of it.
Also, welcome to the group !
Thank you very much !
