This is not something simple to answer and everyone has his own taste and preference.
So, based on my own, I have the Genelec 8030 as my main studio monitors and the KRK rockit 5 for back ups.
I use my DAW and my audio interface mixers for playing along and recording.
Please provide info on your budget, that will help our mates here to be more specific with their suggestions.
Played with it for quite a while last night. Very good! Thank you!
Why? Perchè? Por què? Pourquoi? Warum? γιατί? почему́?
Why am I alway in the office when people post a cool-looking profile and i cannot try it until 20.30?
Poor Jimmyno!
Display MoreThose POD devices never interested me at all
:p
I never used one.
I'm glad I didn't mess around with any modelling stuff.
Was all tube amps and mics till I moved to London.
In South Africa I had the room to make noise and mic things up.
Full drums kits and loud as I wanted amps.
Here I had to look into going silent more of the time.
I had a Palmer PDI-03 for a few months. Which was actually really great.
I'm glad I've ended up with the KPA.
Options, I like having lots and lots of options.
So close to my story, except I still have the PDI-04 and the South Africa part.
Also, I haven't installed any of the pod or axe or vst rigs uploaded. I am not interested AT ALL to load any of these. That's why I definitely support the request to be easily identified and seperated in the Rig Exchange.
I didn't buy the KPA for these sounds to play with (that's me of course, other friends here want to have these options in their rigs).
and changed guitar leads
What about the other leads/cables and their condition you are using for the rest of your connections, in and out the KPA and to other peripherals you may have connected?
Also if the noise goes away with your hand on the strings, that is most probablyy caused by unearthed wiring at some point (I am sure a more experienced member can explain it better than me).
I don't understand how it's better like this, for me it's the opposite !!
In the 1.06 i was adjusting it very often (sometimes need to down it), so doing this in the daw it's very annoying...
Anyone are not happy with this ???
I, for example, am always checking and adjusting volume levels on the DAW anyway, before recording.
I wouldn't mind having it on the KPA, but annoyed? No, not at all.
my sounds keep getting better and better as i learn to feel my way with it, and some of the recent additions have been excellent as we all improve
True.. very- very true! I couldn't agree more.
That might be it.
There are profiles I don't use often, and we were jumping around through all of them to show him different sounds.
I have used all of the profiles I've kept in the kemper.
I don't have many. Perhaps 100 - 120, would have ot check.
I've deleted any I didn't like or wouldn't use.
Possible that there could be a corrupt one in there.
You managed to read my suggestion if you stambled across a corrupted profile after all
Which firmware version are you on? The 1.07 includes "Better handling of illegal values in damaged rig files"
Deleted...I just show you reply...
I'm not employee of Kemper, I'm an early adopter and part of the Pioneer program, testing new features before release. My unit has been paid full.
And doing a great job helping us all, i may add.
i enjoyed it a lot!
And the detailed info on the combinations you used!
Very good indeed!
Very nice!
Stemast, you're right. I'll keep that in mind.
Mj
My pleasure, Mj!
This is what I have been doing and still do actually, if i have an issue or I don't rememebr how something is done.
Hi, I determined excatly the same failure. Only updating the new firmware 1.07 and changing nothing else. The output doesn´t work at all. Has somebody a solution for this problem? Hopefully it will be solved with the next firmware update. In general, do I have to install the firmware updates stepwise or it is able to install a new firmware and ignore a firmware update, before? For example: Installing 1.06 --> Ignore 1.07 --> and installing the next one. Kind regards Slidetune
I believe you have double posted the same in another post and Schneidas have provided you the link that includes the solution to the s/pdif issue (http://www.kemper-amps.com/forum/index.p…D=4374&pageNo=1 )
A search (top of the forum page) in the forum topics would have given you the answer already.
Welcome!
You're supposed to have a rigs folder inside the shared folder....
Correct me if I am wrong, but you get the Rigs folder in the Shared folder only after you export all rigs, not when you initially format the USB dongle.
Welcome aboard,
