Thanks. The first post on the thread already mentions that.

Don't worry about what others think about your rigs. We all are running with different configurations, ears, and taste. Whatever works for you is what's important.
I figured it out - minor bug in the Firebox software. It booted up in "internal" mode instead of S/PDIF, even though the configuration said it was S/PDIF. I had to change the config to internal and then back to S/PDIF to get it into that mode. The big clue was that when I turned off the Kemper the Firebox blue "sync" light was still on, but should have been flashing red.
No, that's what I've been saying - no indication of S/PDIF input, since that's the source I'm using for the particular track. I recorded a couple of tracks this exact same way a couple days ago.
Thanks Stemast. The backup was only a day old and is the latest 1.08. The Firebox indicates that it's in sync. I don't know how to tell that there's signal via the input, as the only gauge I have is the level meter for that channel in Reaper. As I said, this was all working a couple of days ago, and the only change has been the system reset and restore.
Well, I got this working a couple of days ago to try it out, and was able to record into Reaper through my Presonus Firebox. Since doing that I have done a system reset and reloaded a backup file. Now in trying to record some more, the Firebox indicates it has a clock, but I get nothing into Reaper. All config/setup is the same as it was before. Anyone have an idea?
Thanks.
looks like a backup kemper is needed to be on the safe side.
Seems to me that it's only prudent to have backup gear no matter what you're using ...
I expect to be able to hold my KPA shirt up in front of one of my favorite shirts, and then, well ...
Say that again!
Shhhhhhhh....I have a hidden high gainer deep inside me...but I control him
Hey, I was a teenager playing in bands when the Jimi Hendrix Experience hit the world. I'm entitled to my little indulgences
At present I only play in my home studio, so my perspective is quite different. However, it's reassuring to hear validation from the guys out there on stages. Thanks!
We are low profile characters not show offs like you all crazy high gainers!!!
I'm not much of an overdrive guy either, though it's fun to mess around with them at times
Effective sales tool, but it seems that all the videos are aimed at high gain users. I think they're missing an opportunity to show the classic rock, country, jazz, and contemporary, sound communities what it can do as well.
I always RENAME or SAVE AS on the KPA first, then do any backups.
Profiler. Exceptional post.
Yes, the written word is often misunderstood. Human communication involves other (often subtle) methods. I think we've all been affected by unintended inferences. I hope Hadley takes your advice. He has the potential to be a positive player on this forum.
You can't buy mine back for twice the price.
Hell, I'd sell mine for twice the price - and then go buy two of them !
Please do not force us to release software, that was tested too quickly.
I can wait. It's worth doing right.
I run into that also. New members don't realize that the PM setting is off unless someone advises them. A default of "on" would eliminate that issue.
Hmmm, a Zip from Zap
Yeah but I would probably not be covered under warranty. I could order from B&H or Sweetwater but they are 250.00 more than Canadian!
Try negotiating a price with these folks. I know that Sweetwater reps have the ability to lower the price ...
