Sorry, forgot about this!
Just tried it on mine and everything seems normal, no noise at all.

Hi Guys, I just thought I would keep you updated.
I have been in conversation with the Kemper support guys (who seem very good I must admit)
Quote
feedback from our developers. They have found one other case, where this is happening - and got the unit back. They are convinced, that this is not a hardware problem, but a software bug, which shows up rarely on devices. They asked me to tell you, that these are not ENCODERS, but 360° double potis ... in case this has a meaning for you. Therefor the interpretation of the moves is complicated and there could be a bug. So please be patient, we have got all we need to find the root cause of this problem.
So looks like it may be a bug after all......

What we really need is a freely assignable envelope follower and some LFOs as well.

I had to try 5 USB sticks before I found one that worked!

Actually I am pretty sure it is a bad encoder now.
There is a dead area where the encoder has no real effect, if it is left in this area we get the bad behaviour.

Hi Guys,
I am not sure if this is a problem with my kemper or one in general?
The Gain display keeps popping up even when I am not touching the Gain control, this can be quite annoying as it overlays the function display for the knobs.
After turning on it doesn't happen for a while and then it starts popping up for a few seconds and then disappears and does this every 5 seconds or so, but every so often it just stays on constantly. The only way to stop it is to reboot.
Anyone else get this?
Cheers
Andy

This is a funny thread, especially for someone who doesn't use a noise gate.
Use less compressor/boost/OD/distortion/fuzz stomps at the same time, use less gain, improve your tone instantly...no need to clean your 'mess' up with a noisegate. (ducking for cover)
I've been "Hadleyerized"
I am not a noise gate fan either but even without using some of those stomps some pickups in certain situations do benefit from a good noise gate though.

They must have outsourced the noise gate design to the British because this
is not up to German engineering standards at all.mmmm, having worked for a German software company before I wouldn't be too sure about that!

A real shame
-
Guitar or no guitar it doesn't matter.
-
I will do so latter.
It makes the noise with no guitar attached so nothing to do with noisy pickups.

Hi,
I have been using an Eclipse in the stereo loop with no problem as well.
I will try it in the mono loop later today and get back to you with the results....
Cheers
