Did you try a strings of a different brand? I had similar problems with the G-String too with a popular, widely available brand of strings. I won't name the company here cause I don't want to get in trouble...

[quote='Booyah',
Maybe 20 seconds, 15 to have the sound guy set the eq flat and set the volume, then 5 more to tell him what I mean by completely flat and also to turn me the hell up! lol[/quote]Ok, I'm fine with 20 seconds
Turning it up is another thing i noticed with the Kemper. We are two guitar players in the band and in the past (before the Kemper) I noticed that the sound guys tend to put the better sounding guitar higher in the mix. Since the sound depends heavily on how the cab is miced, sometimes I was louder in the mix, sometimes the other guitar player, which sucks since we have some nice arrangements and often play different things. Since i use the Kemper i am always louder in the mix

Was just about to mention the same, the time needed for guitar soundcheck went down from severeal minutes to max 15 seconds
Another thing ist that "sound in the room" issue, this made me crazy for many years. I really hated it not being able to hear the same sound on stage as the audience hears, since a miced cab over FoH usually has not much to do with the on-stage sound of an amp. I never had confidence if it sounds for the audience the way i wanted it to. On some gigs it was that bad that it took over my whole thinking, i was concerned about the sound during the whole show and due to this i lost much the fun and joy of live playing.
After more than 20 years of struggeling the Kemper solved this problem and i can't tell how much of an relief it is for me. No more concerns about live sound, just playing and having fun! What better could you say about a piece of gear?

WOW
It took more time than I ever expected, but let's see what it's worth.
LOLWell, these are already merged profiles, that may explain why it took a bit longer

Just gorgeous!!! I miss my Krautster 2!!! It's a simple yet gorgeous guitar. Love your Hubers!!!! I have been talking to my wife for a long time about wanting a 59 RI for my 50th (5 years away), but a Huber with my neck specs may have to be the way to go!!!!
Thanks a lot. The Orca 59 is by far the best guitar i ever played. Nik is a very nice guy, i have been to his workshop a couple of times. Just tell him what you want for neck specs and he will do it. If you order now you may get it for your 50th as he has an unbelievable backlog

Great to see other people with Hubers here. I have two of them, a Krautster II with brazilian board and a Orca 59

Here's a picture when it's folded for transport.
The dimensions are:
Length: 70 cm
Width: 38 cm
Height: 24 cmThanks man

Thanks for the pictures! Could you do another one showing the stand when it's folded together for transport? Thanks!

Regarding your first question: The Remote will be sold exclusivly through Kempers own webstore. This means there won't be a street price.
-
Come on Ingolf, are we not allowed to express what we think because it doesn't fit your own opinion? Your post sounds like "just shut up" to me.
-
I don't see what "wanting this for ages" has to do with it being overpriced.
Just a quick calculation: Remote + case/bag + 2 expression pedals + good quality replacement cable -> over 800 euros to replace my FCB
-
I think 499€ is way too much.

I have a question regarding this issue. I am using the Behringer FCB with the Uno4Kemper chip but I'm not really happy with expression pedals of the FCB. If you use an additional expression pedal like the Dunlop, how do you connect it to the KPA? Do you have to run an additional cable from the expression pedal to the KPA? Or can the pedal be connected to the FCB which converts it to midi and the signal is transferred to the KPA using the existing midi connection?
Thanks!

Hey Bluesman,
i am using a single DXR10 (many here say that it sounds better for typical guitar sounds than the DxR12). I don't use stereo effects so i hook up a DI-Box (mounted in my rack) to the monitor out and from there i use a XLR cable to connect the DXR10. The monitor out has its own volume setting (separated from main out volume) and also its own 3-band EQ. One of the main outs go to the FOH.
Using a stereo setup is a different story, I never use it, maybe somebody else can give some info about it... -
Ah, nice thread. As i put my kpa-head into a rack just two days ago, i can add some pics too:

Back side, all connections are easily accessible:
[Blocked Image: http://i1000.photobucket.com/albums/af123/Firebird6/kpa_rack_ba.jpg]
The little box on the left side is a adapter box for a single cable solution using a cable with eight wires
- 2 for midi in
- 2 for midi out
- 2 for power supply of the FCB
- 2 for the additional footswitch on the left side of the FCB, this one is connected the Footswitch 1 of the KPA and i use it to switch to tuner modeThere is also a DI-Box in the adapter box which is connected to monitor out of the KPA cause i want to use XLR cables to hook up my active monitor. The little switch is a ground lift

Here is the inside shot of the FCB wired up for single cable. I added a switch to switch between internal or phantom power:

And here is the whole thing:

I think the only area where the Axe is bit better is that it is more flexible in the effects section. But since you plan to do studio work, this is no problem, because for the rare cases one needs complex effect routings, normaly in studios all kinds of effects-units are available and the Kemper has an FX-Loop. Plus the Kemper company continuously publishes updates with new and improved effects so it might not be long until the Kemper catches up to the Axe in this area as well.
-
I have no idea if that makes sense or if there is a market for this, but anyway...
Right now if you use a wireless system, your guitar signal gets A/D conversion in the belt pack, then D/A conversion in the receiver and finally A/D conversion in the KPA again.
Since the KPA works in the digital domain anyway, wouldn't it be nice to have Kemper offer a belt pack and a build in receiver for the KPA?
Less conversion, less latency, less signal cables, less power cords...
-
So the wah is always engaged and on or once I rick the pedal it engages it and turns it off when I'm done?...
There are several different ways to operate the wah. To engage automatically it when the pedal is moved is one of of them, I do it in this same way with the Uno4Kemper.

Thanks a lot Jimi! I just checked them out for 10 minutes and they are really great! Played them with a Les Paul and a Tele, awesome sound with both guitars, no tweaking neccessary at all!
