Holy sh**, that 'LoG Solo' profile sounds amazing. Thanks!
EDIT: 'Dusty Road' is also a keeper.

Fred Kelly Delrin Standard Grip Flat Light. Really thin and floppy, but feels and sounds really exceptional to me.

You did a great job in my opinion. These are some really nice Dr. Z profiles. -
Thanks for the free profiles. They sound great.

I want to sound like this:

There is definitely a problem with the Kemper headphone jack when using high gain profiles for metal. The profiles sound good through FRFR speakers or when recorded, so they are fine. 3 other Kemper users around the area and I used different headphones like ATH-M50x, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser and they all have the same issue. The headphones are great when listening to music from other sources, or when using Kemper headphone jack with clean, bluesy or rock sounds. But with high gain profiles, they sound very harsh and quacky. Changing Space parameter, PureCab or initializing settings do not help. You can EQ and filter out treble or change cab high shift setting to mitigate a little bit, but why would somebody want to do that just for headphone jack and change characteristics of a profile. You can test this with the Lesse Lammert metal profiles that come with factory rigs. Not sure if this is a hardware or a software issue, but it needs to be fixed by respected Kemper engineers. Please help!
I have a similar experience. I normally listen to headphones through my RME card. Recently I have plugged into the headphone jack of my KPA, and everything sounded more harsh than through my RME card. Now I'm a little bit puzzled which might be the 'correct' sound of the KPA. Will have to do more experimenting. -
I`m sorry, my name in RE is Diogo F. de Agui. I am making some AFD100 profiles. I will share all my profiles (300 profiles: vox ac15, soldano, mesa boggie transatlantic, suhr badger, lonestar, Dr. Z. Maz 18, fender deville, RK Blues, AFD100, Peavey classic 30 e some pedals). Enjoy!
Wow, I'll definitely check out all your new profiles. Thanks very much for sharing.

You might be surprised how ignorant some of the 'pro' musicians are about gear. Well maybe ignorant is not the right word, but they play whatever sounds in the ballpark. All they really care about is reliability. After all their sound engineers will always make everything sound good in the end. IMO most of the cork sniffers and tone snobs in forums (including me
) are hobby guitarists who have too much time on their hands.

"Speaking of placebo, I recently listened to a video where someone recorded with a looper every fractal fw update over the last few years, and when I listened to it I was blown away by how little of a difference the fractal fw actually sounds today vs two years ago"
Yeah. After all a distorted guitar signal is not really rocket science.
Just think about it: if you were a Fractal developer, you could globally increase bass and treble... lets say 2%, and call it some cool tech-y name like 'advanced cathode bias plate excursion simulation'... instant success.

"I will be able to focus on playing rather than always thinking that my tone is not as good as it could be or that it's what I want it to be."
Exactly this. You will handle it more like a traditional amp, rather than a quirky computer. It is very rewarding IMO. When I got mine, I instantly noticed how I started to play more instead of just fiddling around with bullshit placebo parameters. But unless money is not really a constraint for you, I recommend not buying everything at once. First try the official sample rig packs. You can download those from the official Kemper site. Also try a lot of free profiles from the rig exchange. There are some real gems out there. Do not be discouraged by some horrible ones
Welcome!

Can we get snapshot editing features in RM?
It would be handy. -
Hi Ken!
Welcome, and thanks for sharing your Champ profiles. They are among the best Champ tones currently available IMO. -
Really nice pack. Thanks!
-
I know a lot of great packs, but they are mainly for atheists IMO.

Yeah, thanks Matej!

That Zakk Wylde Overdrive with the bassman was a great combo indeed. One of these is my all-time favorite edge of breakup profile.
