Thanks guys!
The upper octave pops even better if you crank the Recti drive.
Neck pickup is a must!
All the new wave shapers open up new sounds.
Many are very synth like but with a guitar edge to them.
Thanks guys!

I just posted an Octavia Hendrix inspired profile using the new Recti Shaper.
Use the neck pickup.
Crank the drive on the Reti for more upper ocatve.

One of my favourites.
My only problem is a slight crackling noise especially when using higher output humbuckers.
Daniel
I do not get any crackling noise here but if you do lower the volume control on the bottom right or the gain on the left.
If you watch master led it should never go above green.
Cool!
In combination with the magnetic camourflage panel covers we could have a complete Profiler offroad version. We will soon have a labeled survival tent in our merchandise shop. Currently we are working on a water prove version of the Profile. This would also reliably work above 10000 feet. How about that?
Christoph,
I think I have your new ad champion figured out!
We WILL need a bigger tank of water and you will need a big rain coat.

Thanks guys!
I am working on the nylon now, but Its hard as the nylon sound is VERY much about the attack/release of the sound.
Its a plastic string and making a metal string sound the same requires more than just eq changes,
BUT....with the new gates who knows it might work.
The EHX Superego is a time based effect so its no able to be profiled.
The Superego is an amazing effect that opens the world of granular synthesis to guitar players.
Here is the demo I did for EHX.

It plays great in the effect loop of the Kemper.

Can you tell me more about the HW JTM45?
What output tubes and is it a stock wiring?
It is so transparent and smooth.
Thanks Bill
I am working on getting more VG sounds.
The Kemper profiles VG-99 amp sounds very well.
Its amazing how well the "footprint" of any modeler or distortion pedal can be captured. with the Kemper.
I have never heard anything that can do this.
Its the top end that the Kemper duplicates that blows me away.
I have spent many HOURS eq-ing and spectral matching units only to have the Kemper do it in a simple profile. If you listen to the top end of what you profile its just mind bending how close it.
That upper stuff is the hardest to get right.
That would be cool!
I did this Jump sound with the Roland VG-99:

I am afraid it takes a hex signal to pull it off so for now not possible....
Thanks, the JTM-45 is great!

Viel Glück zum Geburtstag!
Thanks!
Does not seem there are many places to buy the Beyma.
Anybody here with one, where did you find it?
I wonder why no one makes a 12 speaker with a tweeter in the center like the old HF speakers?
You could pop that in a power engine and have the best of both worlds.
Rocktron Prophesy Texas Channel Profile is now up on the rig exchange.

Display MoreAnd now you even proved that it is possible to profile some synth and other sounds using the GK input!!!
I have a lot of VG-99 sounds that I love. Some of them have plenty of compressors, modulations, wahs, delays, reverbs and so on.
The manual says to not use them when profiling.
Two questions:
- Did you really turn off all these when you profiled all your sounds? And replaced them later with the effects inside the Kemper? (This must be quite a time-consuming job!?)
- Is there a possibility to compare the sounds? Say, I have a VG-99 sound with some Reverb and Flanger. I turn these off while profiling. Now I'd like to re-add those effects to the profile and A-B to my Reference Sound. But in the profiling mode when I add an effect, it also gets added to my reference sound.
Yes you need to turn the effects and compressor off before profiling.
This includes the noise gate.
I find adding the effects back after does not take that much time.
Most likely you used a similar compression setting in many of your VG
settings.
After I profile I use the send on the Kemper to feed the
input of the VG-99 and use a simple A/B box to switch back and forth
between the Kemper and VG-99 outputs.
This way you can add the effects back and bounce back and forth between the units to check your match.

Display MoreThanks I cant wait to check your tweek out!
I felt there was a real sweet jazzy flavor to this, so made a copy and started tweaking to create more of a jazz guitar sound. Pretty amazing capabilities on the KPA for changing the feel of a profile. Anyone else play around with this? Here's what I have so far. Like I said, I was looking for more of a guitar feel on this one, whereas the original is looking to capture the synth sound (which was pretty friggin' remarkable BTW).
Here is a quick mp3 of the metal body Dobro profile:

Roland VG-99 Dobro and Acoustic 2 are up on the rig exchange.
Use bridge humbucker.
If single coils are used lower treble and presence controls.
