As far as I know only the Rigmanager will be updated - not the KPA
No, you can update KPA firmware too. I did it yesterday.

ToneDexter sounds promising, although expensive:

You can control looper with switches (back panel switch 1 and 2). Go to system page 5 and just change desired function (looper mode, looper play, looper stop). I'm not sure if you can use midi commands to control looper functions.

Yeah I think it's normal. My CLR gets pretty hot also.

Your sound clips sounded somewhat weird, so I would suggest you to do a system reset and check if it helps:
Reset Corrupted System Settings
(NOTE: all your system settings will be erased, not your rigs):switch the main knob to off;
wait a few seconds;
hold the System key;
switch Profiler to tuner while still holding the System key.

Original, no chip. Surely I don't have to buy and install a separate chip just to make a midi board work?
You can make it work with original chip. Just tell us what you want to do with FCB1010 and Kemper, and i'm sure we can help you.

What exactly are you trying to do with fcb1010 (changing presets, setting up stomp box, configurating expression pedals, etc)? Probably the easiest way to configure is with an editor. Here is one that works with my FCB1010:

Check out the Windows device manager (Control panel -> System -> Device Manager). See if there's any missing drivers (yellow exclamation mark). If there is, right-click and uninstall them. The use "Action -> Scan Hardware Changes".
BTW Kemper should show under "Sound, video and game controllers".

Ok, thanks guys!

Point taken. Maybe that was stupid question. I guess I just wanted to know what profiles other CLR owners prefer and try them out. Of course everyone has different taste, but it would be interesting to hear what profiles another players like, preferably at gig volumes.
I play mostly thru my little active monitors (Tannoy Reveal 5), so some of my favorite profiles (like Sinmix Satan) with them doesn't work that great with CLR. Not without Equing anyway.

As headline says, what are your favorite profiles with CLR? Free or commercial, does not matter.

Anyone tested it yet?
Found this on their site (http://www.eurekasound.com/eurekaprom/pa

In Europe (Thomann):
Line6 Helix rack 1490€ + Controller 499€ = 1989€
Kemper Rack + Controller = 2090€Difference is 101€, so at least in Europe the prices are comparable.

IIRC = If I Recall Correctly

Erlend's legendary Kemper performance was reposted in Kemper Amps facebook page, it was indeed awesome!
But the dropbox link to the profile is dead, somebody has it?
Yes, I would like to try that profile too! Anybody???
-
Matchbox is nice, but does not really sound like spring reverb. Also if you use "outside" reverb pedal at Kemper's loop, you can't place it after delay. Or am I wrong?
-
Why don't you just use midi foot pedal, like FCB1010? I think you can control two switch/pedal inputs with GigRig relays, but it would be an overkill, at least IMHO.
