oh that sucks for you. My Kab sounds glorious & delivers outrageous volumes without the issues you stated. You might have a return here

I'm guessing you may have a cab that sounds better to you- especially as your ears are "tuned" and used to your cab. The Kab definitely has the edge in flexibility in tones. Your cab will always sound like your cab.
I have and love a 4x12 & a 2x12, but snagging the 1x12 Kab made sense in a lot of ways to me. I think it's a fantastic product!
Keep in mind this all about improving the user's 1on1 experience with the amp. Studio and live, everyone else will hear the di sound from Kemper (which is amazeballs).

I simply create a new rig with more mids, a bit more saturation for sustain and added delay. A boost pedal usually adds the first two elements if you want the same amp and if you are in a two guitar band, you can add more volume. I never understand limiting yourself in rigs with a unit like Kemper; just change patch.
+1
During a solo I like to go to a new patch so I can then set a morph to splash in some pitch harmony or reverb/delay flanger type effect at the crescendo -
I never did the beta...OMG these new updates are beyond amazing!!! Love it!

When I had a baby (see avatar), I spent a few years writing songs in my studio and enjoyed writing in different tunings- really inspirational in different ways. When it came time to create a live band, I quickly realized that not having a road crew and a fleet of guitars was going to make this ridiculous.
I don't like transposing pitch shifters- I can feel the vibrations and don't want that to be a major 2nd away from what I am hearing, you know? Plus the tone is simply not as good (though Kemper is impressive). My solution was to pick 2 tunings: I chose drop C and a 7 string in dropA. They can each quickly go to standard D and standard B, plus the 7 has E inside of it. If I had to do it again, I might consider dropAb instead as I could throw a cap oonto the 4th fret and cover the dropC stuff with the fretmarkers in a normal sequence in case of string breakage.
This doesn't help the OP as he has to blend into an existing band, but if you are starting a band, be aware of how miserable this can be trying to make 8 different tunings come to life on stage!

Uggh. Afraid to open this thing up, trying to find a way to fish this thing out but no luck so far.
Maybe some kind of stick that has sticky stuff on it that can adhere to the broken piece and pull out?
Or if I open up the Kemper, maybe there's easy access to poke it back out?
Or am I stuck having to pay to ship this thing around and pay for tech repair?
Any help appreciated!

This "band" has had auditions for YEARS and I'm sure some of you sat through this clown show with me, including a bee attack that took out my drummer in 2015, lol.
Finally, have a new unit together and ready to hit the dive scene!

Gear these days has been all Kemper live and studio. The thing is amazing. I'm using Revv profiles from the Generator I had earlier, nice and clear. For guitars, I'm really settling into my Peavey HP, HP2, and EVH Wolf. Lots of Gutierrez Juggernaut in the studio.

Well, this kind of works with my Supro fuzz in front of Kemper.
The delay and reverb updates were so awesome last year, I hope ODs & Fuzz are next!

I'm using phone screens that don't really fit well- did anyone ever develop and offer such a product? I thought it was mentioned here a while back

Here's an alternative to the alternative to the alternative...
https://www.lowes.com/pd/AWP-H…losed-Tool-Bag/1000395027
IIRC another member here suggested this bag, and it works very well with a few quirks. The internal loops for tools do not get in the way too bad, and a toaster and remote will comfortably fit. However it has no padding.
As a temporary solution I put my entire Kemper factory bag inside this bag, and that gave plenty of padding and will still accept the remote on top. Works great, however there is little room for cables, no room for expression pedals, and the bag itself weighs 17lbs empty, so it's a heavy tote. But it rolls great. I plan to make some dividers and add some 1\2" foam as padding, and am hopeful that will then allow carrying of cables.
I use this one. It is awesome. I fit the Kemper, remote, and maybe a few other things in the main compartment and the outside pouches handle the cables. The wheels make things so much easier!

FWIW The Peavey Ultra Plus I had years ago wouldn't profile. CK confirmed this amp was one of the few amps that didn't jive with profiling
-
I found this at Lowe's- retractable handle and wheels. Fits the Kemper, Remote and a few other things no problem. Love the wheels as my last bag worked but carrying all that around was cumbersome.
-
Wow, great clip! Will watch the whole thing soon...
-
Kemper plays best with the embedded Kemper cabs- which can be astounding!
Using something else as an IR loader will work but is needless and usually worse IME. Don't force more gain into your chain- instead look for better profiles and/or cabs.
If you insist on using other IRs, note the differences between studio and merged profiles. Either will work but merged makes more sense on paper.
As always, IMO & YMMV
